Life of B....no. Not really.
The Magadal....no. It's just Irish folk. You expect them to live in the stone age.
South Pa...no. Jesus rescues Santa, armed with guns and the Glaive from Krull in one episode.
The Simps....no. The rev made a tearful speech that was revealed to be about E.T.
Ladyhawke? No...it was established the villain was excommunicated, the Vatican basically told him to go fuck himself.
I got it.
The Passion of the Christ!
-A right-wing anti-Semitic work of propaganda that blames Jews for murdering Christ, unwittingly making those who aren't braindead sheep hate the kind of right-wing fundie dickhead this sort of shit was aimed at.

Proggy
I suggest that you read/view interviews with Maia Morgenstern, who was cast as Jesus' mother in "The Passion..."
PS...She is Jewish.

So was the founder of the Cheka, which would lead to the formation of the KGB.
They even had a statue of him.

Life of Brian rocks. the Passion of the Christ was always barely concealed torture porn, if I am going to watch torture porn I would prefer it was honest about itself, like hostel.

In truth, despite what some of our fellow Boarders think, I can't really think of any example that goes out of it's way to portray Christians as evil incarnate, it's not something I would go out of my way to watch anyway.

dorothy and the ongoing investigation broken record collection
here in the land of the freak and the home of the slave we have what toto would call cradle to grave where laws are created with the express intent to enslave anyone who can't afford a lawyer who gave whatever remained of his soul upon realizing you can't propagate an emerald city and still call yourself whole unless that is you consider the encrusted mold part of a feng shui where nothing ever gets too old to rename it something it never truly was in the first place like operating a wizard whose offing amazing grace as a remedy for the statuary in your peyton place.
sjw 10/10/19 inspired at this very moment in time by just how many investigations can one juggle at any given moment in time.

Arguably prophecy, although the naughty 'Christian' in question is Gabriel.

Which Christians do you think I hate? Because there’s billions on the planet. Oh, this was done because Cody was whining about how I was only victimizing people who hate on Muslims. Or something like that.

gagging on the red neck spew of conservative christian blowtards
the last person i expected to see handing out sealed bags of pee was that there jesus of galilee who if i'm not mistaken bailed the planet after he was to see what the world would become in the twenty first century.
sjw 10/18/19 inspired at this very moment in time by make mine one of them there christ-centered blowtards.

Agora doesn't portray Christians particularly kindly. They're all either raving fanatics or cynical careerists. I wouldn't say it's anti-Christian in that it doesn't say anything against Christian beliefs, but it definitely takes a dim view of its adherents.
Good film too.

It was after all, a bunch of Christian religious fanatics that murdered poor Hypatia (though it is debatable as to whether or not St. Cyril wanted her killed). Some of the Christians in the movie were portrayed alright.

They portrayed Christians as they where, some good some evil. Why should they act as if every Christians where kind when they are not and have never been.

It's just unusual as movies go in that it portrays Christians pretty unflatteringly though yes some of them are presented with some sympathy - I was a bit too dismissive of that.

The murder of Hypatia was far more brutal in real life than what they show in the movie. They don't even show it happening. Been a while since i watched the movie, but don`t they show it with the slave or former slave covering her nose and mouth strangling her to death? I know strangling is not the correct term here, but i can`t think of the correct term to use.
