Why no one say Siberian Husky? This hurt my feelings so much and make me so sad.

Mine is the West Highland Terrier! The Westie is the purest projection of happiness and innocence in this world of ours! Oh, Lordy, this little Westie is so cute, it should be a felony! My son had a Westie, when he was growing up......dumb as a stump, but hard not to love!! Sadly, she turned up dead (laying in her bed) one morning, at only eight years of age.....never having had any health issues in her short little life..... SAVE FERRIS The Westie pictured is bright and inquisitive. And almost certainly a boy! You can just tell. And I think his name must be something like Roosevelt. And if it isn't Roosevelt, then it should be!

I love all dogs but I especially love the giant breeds: Saint Bernards, Great Pyrenees, Mastiffs, Leonbergers and Great Danes just to name a few. I see someone mentioned Norwegian Elkhounds. They'll always be special to me since that was my first dog when I was growing up.

Shetland Sheepdog
Growing up, I always wanted a 'Sheltie'......until my mom found out about the shedding!! As a result, we ended up with an adorable Yorkie Poo named Maggie, followed by another (Molly, who turns 15 in February!) some years after Maggie died (12 years old), and have never looked back.... SAVE FERRIS

They'll always be special to me since that was my first dog when I was growing up. Some years back I met the owner of a pair of female English Mastiffs at a public event. These dogs were 180 pounds each, but were the gentlest giants you can imagine. The owner told me he also has male English Mastiffs who were 210 pounds each, but he didn't bring them to public events because they were, in his words, "too aggressive". I told him that was probably a good thing!

Like most pet owners, I haven't especially enjoyed cleaning up after all of the (smaller) dogs I've had in my lifetime (4 total), but do it anyway.....however, when I see the dog owners with those EXCEPTIONALLY large dogs, and think of what THEY have to deal with each and every time their dog decides to 'lay one down', I am reminded that it could always be much, MUCH worse, so I shouldn't complain !! German Shepherd and Huskies just for the way they look. Collies, too. As a pet I'd probably want a Beagle or Bassett.
I don't like giant dogs and hate little, yappy dogs.
