It was confirmed to be a hoax. Robert Forster, the stalwart leading man whose Oscar-nominated performance as a nefarious bail bondsman in Quentin Tarantino's Jackie Brown made for one of Hollywood's most heartwarming comeback stories, has died. He was 78. Forster died on Friday at his Los Angeles home from brain cancer, his publicist told The Hollywood Reporter.

Sorry, I tend not to believe these things without confirmation and then I Googled it and it was very misleading at first. You are right. He has passed away.

Brain cancer? Jesus. What a horrible way to go. One of the worst cancers you can get. At least his suffering is over.

Miss him already. I grew up watching him in the Black Hole. He was great in Jackie Brown and he could play any role. I remember him playing the main terrorist in the Delta Force.
