Was actually thinking of doing a Trek Club thread recently. I gave some thought to an Airplane! quote thread, which I would have titled "Starship!". But it kind of stalled after five quotes. I don't start a thread unless I have, at a minimum, 10-15 quote/image combinations picked out in advance.

What about "16 Candles"? Do us teenagers not count, anymore? Huh? What's the deal?

What about "16 Candles"? Do us teenagers not count, anymore? Huh? What's the deal? Actually Mr Dirty, lets face reality. Teenagers aren't really worth a pinch of salt.

Wow! Screen Rant is about as out of touch with people and reality as most of the IMDB posters are. There's one line from Dirty Harry, one from They Live, one geek quote from Godfather, maybe three each from Casablanca, Star Wars, and Airplane.
The others have zero quotes for most people. Screen Rant is in their own weird world. Not only do they lose all credibility by having 60% of their list completely devoid of any famous quotes, but they also lose all credibility by leaving out THE WIZARD OF OZ, TREASURE OF THE SIERRA MADRE, A FEW GOOD MEN, JAWS, SUPERMAN II, MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL, BLAZING SADDLES, and dozens of others I could list.
I don't know if Screen Rant is one person or more than one. If it's more than one, then that's even worse. At any rate, they're as bombastic in their own little world as half the posters here, and even more so than any of the star trek geeks. How can you be geekier than a Star Trek geek? Well, they surely accomplished that.

Yeah, as much as I am ashamed to admit.....I actually do quote lines from that Movie (GREAT Movie!) a lot. Why would you be ashamed to say that you quote lines from this movie? We're talking about JAWS, aren't we? I don't get it. Everybody quotes a movie line now and then, what's the problem? It's a famous movie and very quotable. Now, if, say, you're having Sunday dinner with family and you're asked to say grace and you respond with "Here's to Swimmin with bow-legged women!", Mom might not approve; or if you're at the community pool and it's summertime and the place is packed and you decide to re-enact the entire Chrissie sequence, screams and all, you would get some stares, might even get asked to leave. Or, if you walked up to your local police officer and hauled off and slapped him on the face and said "My boy is dead. I wanted you to know that. My boy is dead" and then stumble away rather confused.
