Back to the Future. Not least of all my very first VHS purchase, from McDonald's of all places.

I too was obsessed with this one. I was in the army at the time and saw it several times. When I was sent to another post, the film must've gotten orders to follow me. Found a copy of the book in a day room and thoroughly enjoyed. Never could sit through Dance With Wolves as it was dull and thematically similar to LBM.

I love all the characters, especially Chief Dan George. It's not rip-roaring hilarious, but it's still funny. Glad you enjoyed it, too.

Just sticking to the current decade one movie comes to mind...
I remember being a pretty huge fan of Drive (2011) at one point. in fact, I am pretty sure it's my most re-watched movie released in this current decade (i.e. any movie released between 2010-2019) as I have seen it eight times in total. four times between Sep 16th 2011/Jan 13th 2012, Sep 16th 2013/2014/2015, Jan 7th 2019. which makes a total of eight times. I have only seen three movies in the theaters in the current decade and Drive (2011) is one of the three (the other two are True Grit (2010)(8-8.5/10(this improved in score on my most recent viewing))/In Time (2011)(6-6.5/10(this peaked at a solid 8/10)))
Drive (2011) basically did this for me...
-No later than my 4th viewing (which were between Sep 16th 2011 through Jan 13th 2012) = 9/10+ -5th viewing (Sep 2013) = 9/10 to a 7.5-8/10 -6th viewing (Sep 2014) = 7.5-8/10 -7th viewing (Sep 2015) = 7.5-8/10 to a 7/10 -8th viewing (Jan 2019) = 7/10 (still, it remains among my favorite movies, which is currently Top 148 movies)
I don't remember exactly how things played out between my initial viewing and prior to the 4th viewing but I want to say it was something like a 7.5-8/10 on my initial viewing and climbed up and basically peaked about my 3rd-4th viewings.
but anyways... at one point Drive (2011) was my #1 movie of the 2010's decade but that was early in the decade as you can see above. currently there are only two movies I score a 9/10 or higher in the 2010's decade as both are tied for my #1 movie of the 2010's decade which are The American (2010)/Skyfall (2012). there used to be more 9/10's like Drive (2011) etc (but never any 10/10's as the most recently released movie I give a 10/10 is Gran Torino (2008)(within my Top 7 movies straight up)).
