I know he's got the backing now but I wonder if he'll truly finish that epic he wanted to do that was called Megalopolis.

He directed one of the best movies ever made (The Godfather) and one of the worst (Jack). He has directed some of the best performances ever (Brando, De Niro, Pacino) and some of the worst (Keanu Reeves and Sofia Coppola).

Hey, I actually think that Keanu Reeves gave 1 of those very rare types of performances (in " BRAM STOKER's DRACULA") that was so bad that it was actually enjoyable to watch.

The distinction is that he is the only director who has made 4 masterpieces in the same decade. The Godfather (1972), The Conversation (1974), The Godfather part II (1974) and Apocalypse Now (1979).

My own feelings on Apocalypse Now was that it was an abomination. First half okay; second half suffered from dragging on and on, and Brando being annoying to watch. I wouldn't put this up as a Coppola masterpiece, but rather a piece of poo-poo.

Actually his distinction is directing only "worst" movies. The entire Godfather trilogy is crap, pushed down our throats by control freaks who are brainwashed by control freak critics of the past.

Lol. There's always one who thinks his opinion supersedes actual experts. This mentality is why we have flat-earthers.

I'm glad you admit your mentality of blindly accepting alleged "actual experts" for absolutely no reason is the mentality of flat earthers. You've proven my point about brainwashed control freaks blindly adhering to control freaks of the past. Thank you.

You think there's no reason to believe people with more knowledge than you.

I don't agree with that at all. Other Directors who have managed that: Akira Kurosawa probably made 6 masterpieces in the 1950s Hirokazu Kore-eda has aruguable managed it in both 2000s and 2010s. Definitely made 4 in a 10 year period Robert Bresson in the 60s/ 70s ? Agnes Varda in the 60s Billy Wilder over a 10 year period probably did Howard Hawks in the 40s perhaps?
