The pick was looking good when Matt Moore came in. Too bad Flacco sucks. He really sucks. He sucks so bad the Dolphins should trade for him to guarantee they go 0-16. He sucks so bad he beat the Patriots in the playoffs at Gillette Stadium twice and was a Billy Cundiff field goal away from potentially doing it a third time!

I was thinking about making a post about his career overall after watching that game last night. He was probably better than most people gave him credit for for most of his career, but now he isn't talked about enough as one of the worst in the league. I think most people probably forget he's still around until they watch a Broncos game.

Im not going to pretend i watch a lot of Joe Flacco games but...looking statistically...he's right on pace to where he's always been. Actually a fairly consistent player in the regular season his entire career. Hes throwing a little less td's this year...but other than that pretty close to numerically consistent.

Which begs the question yet again, why is John Elway such a shitty evaluator of quarterbacks*? How can someone who played the position be so clueless when it comes to signing or drafting one? *He gets no credit for Peyton Manning. It doesn’t take a keen eye to have signed him.

The Flacco move is particularly bizarre. Being a poor evaluator of talent can happen to anyone. Inexplicably, Belichick has a lousy draft record with DBs. But the Flacco move makes no sense. Did you think you could contend with Flacco? If you're rebuilding, stick with a scrub and take your lumps. Why give away draft picks and then overpay a washed up bum? Nobody in Baltimore, not the team or the fans, wanted him anymore.

I have found that ex-players, especially the great ones which is strange, suck at this kind of thing. Look at Jordan, Bird, etc. It is nuts.

I didn't think he looked good even when he was winning a superbowl 7 or so years ago.

I didn't think he looked good even when he was winning a superbowl 7 or so years ago. Week to week he felt like a game manager to me, but he usually seemed to raise his game come playoff time. I have no clue of the numbers even bear that out, I just remember him not shooting his team in the foot in big moments at least. Just looked it up, he's 10-5 in the playoffs, which is better than Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees. I know the QB alone isn't responsible for wins, but I think it suggests he isn't totally incompetent (as he looked last night). As you said, he's consistent; I don't know if I would've said that until I really started thinking about his career as a whole.

Nobody in Baltimore, not the team or the fans, wanted him anymore. I dont think Elway ever thought they were rebuilding. The way he has operated has been that the team is a QB away from the super bowl. Which may have been the case with Peyton but hasnt been since which Elway has just continued to misevaluate both QB and his team as a whole. Even now they are still saying they're not shopping guys like Sanders. Elway has no idea what he is doing and should be fired.

LA Chargers @ Tennessee - As soon as I saw this game listed, one thought came into my mind out of nowhere, totally clear. Where it materialized from, I have no idea, but I'm not going to ignore it. That thought was: I guarantee (BoSoxRules style) the TITANS win this game. Truly a prophetic vision. Shame most of my other picks were a shade more "pathetic" than prophetic...

Monday October 21st 8:15pm New England @ NY Jets Once again, a Pats fan who's too chicken-shit to play in the pool but is the first to jump on a guy who enter this week in 6th place and went 10-4 this week for 1 incorrect pick. And where the hell were these same the Pats fans after the Giants beat them in 2 Super Bowls and the Eagles bet them in the Super Bowl 2 years ago? That's why Pats fans are the most hated fans in the NFL. They love to talk trash when the Pats win, but when the Pats get their butts kicked by teams that they were favored to beat, those same Pats fans are nowhere to be found.

'chickenshit' I simply don't follow football closely enough to bother to make those guesses. I don't know who is doing good or who is doing bad. I know the Pats are 7-0 and that's it.
You'd be doing a lot better if you didn't let your irrational hate for the Pats make you pick against them so often.

Why are you in this thread? Like, at all? Are you playing? If not, who the fuck cares who anyone picks?
