Yeah, it's not a problem with the board. Nonetheless, I'm gonna try to help. That's what I was doing, but somebody thought it was a scrum. It was certainly turning into one. I didn't just fall off the turnip truck. Best bet is that something is blocking javascript on her tablet.

Yes, that’s it. I use safari. Should I change it? For now, if you can, try another and see how it goes. Or at least, see if it's different. It will help pinpoint what's going on. Explorer won’t let me log in. I got JavaScript and that doesn’t change anything. Thanks for trying, Bartlesby. I appreciate it.

It's certainly turning into one now, though. There's no need for that, yeah?

No. I'll probably just answer and query her from here on and avoid the drama.

Is it only this site you've noticed problems with? Yes. And it's the gear and the like button in Safari? Are there other missing features?

And it's the gear and the like button in Safari? Are there other missing features? The like button was there but it just took me to the top post instead of showing a like.

It's nothing we've implemented specific to this site. I'll look into it later, time provided. For now, Chrome is working alright for you? Is that a reasonable compromise?

I just felt you were taking a simple request for help and being too harsh about it. If you'd like to call it drama, that's fine. I'd just call it an obvious observation and leave it there. I'm more interested currently in figuring out the problem.

That's just as helpful as telling someone with a flat tire to stop looking at the headlights for the fix - an obvious observation. Then along comes you, talking about how I'm starting a fight or some shit. So yeah, I do indeed call that drama...just as you did. And look at where we are now. Imagine that.

She never said it was the site. She asked for help as to why the change to her tablet caused the site to mess up. She just wanted clarification on what the fuck was going on. I'm not sure why you thought that and did your correction since she never applied blame; just explained a situation. If you went into an auto shop because your car wouldn't start and the mechanic said, "Well, that's your problem. We had nothing to do with it." and acted dismissive, you'd probably get annoyed. It's needless and contrary to the purpose of a mechanic... or a tech support board. If you feel I am unjustly criticizing you here, that's fine and all, but I'm really not. There was no reason to assume she was blaming her problem on the board as she stated quite clearly that it was the update that caused the problem. Yet you did.

You inferred something that was not implied. All I did was take something off the table in direct response to the statement that "this site doesn't work the same" since the brother-in-law fucked with her tablet. As for the auto shop analogy, if the reason the customer can't start the car is because the car is missing, should the mechanic presume it was stolen? Maybe it was just misplaced. Maybe the customer has Alzheimer's and forgot that she loaned it out. Or maybe she never had a car to begin with and the whole thing is a delusion. All the mechanic can really say with any degree of confidence is that there is no car to fix. And that, my friend, is helpful information. It's also totally objective information that starts no scrums with those who don't presume that it's anything more than that.

This is getting needless since the problem has been sorta fixed and neither of us is going to make ground with the other right now or really get bent out of shape over it long term. I'm gonna drop this for now, JC. But I'm right

Good talk.

Good talk. Oh you sneaky sonofa, you've gotten me back this quickly. It was more like somebody asking what 2 + 2 equals and telling them to ask somebody else because it's not your problem. As a math teacher. Then slapping them on the wrist with a ruler.
