I think of myself as slightly above average and can tell you with 100% accuracy that I've gained more intelligence through life experience than anything I've ever learned from a book. As for so called intellectuals, sitting there and writing a bunch of papers does not an intellectual make. I've read papers from economists that would make my dog shake his head if he knew how to read. Hell, 99% of college professors actually believe socialism works even though it's proven that it's nothing but a hot mess. Of course none of them would ever live under it. Socialism is for the people and not the socialist.
