The Two Towers ought to be in there, but I hate splitting the trilogy. It is all one film in my mind.
I did not get flamed for suggesting alternatives last time so I will risk it again. This was one of the best years in recent decades:

Heartlands (early Michael Sheen road movie but I would not expect Americans to "get" it. Very quirkily English).

Killer Joe? That is from 2011. How did you make that mistake?
As people can probably tell, my taste is more towards the mainstream - with obvious exceptions. 2009 and 2011 are pretty crazy lists.

Ditto because I respect Fox's taste in films. He obviously means the Takeshi Kitano film (2002). When I first scanned this thread I was thinking about an earlier horror movie of the same name. |
