But kiddie movies like Endgame and far from home are in the 90+ on rt.
I want to thank rotten tomatoes for exposing themselves as the biggest scam in Hollywood now that the best comic film of the year is not even a real fresh on RT. this will get better when Joker gets best picture Oscar nom. Anyone who is still denying critics are not biased to the MCU, to me is now so brainwashed BY MARVEL they can't be saved. How does captain marvel rate higher than joker? how is that movie even a fresh? same from far from home than is worse than the Garfield movies.

Exactly. I have not even seen Joker and I kind of assume it's going to top Captain Marvel at the very least as I found Captain Marvel to be average/forgettable at the end of the day.
Hell, I wonder how in the hell Captain Marvel made more $$$ in the theaters than Wonder Woman as Wonder Woman is clearly the better super hero movie in my mind as it's worth re-watching unlike Captain Marvel. I surely can't be the only person who feels this way and I am confident Wonder Woman will be more remembered long term simply because that character is a bigger name in general as I don't think there is a female super hero character who's more known than Wonder Woman.
p.s. personally I think Marvel is overrated as at the end of the day are more DC movies ill re-watch, which makes DC superior in my book.

Will it be as valid as Black Panther's Best Picture nomination?

That would be the Joker film made by Warners, right? The same Warners that owns a 30% stake in Rotten Tomatoes.

I wasn't even tracking the RT meter of Joker but now you mention it, wow it has fallen like a ton of concrete bricks. Last time I checked it was ~75%, I thought at worst it would fall another 10% but retain freshness.
Just show's the continued disconnect in general between audience and critics.

Does anyone take RT seriously? One of my favorite movies of all time is a 33%. I mean that's all it took for me to realize the numbers there don't exactly line up with my own critiquing of films.

Does anyone take any of these rating sites seriously? They are awful. 'Joker' is currently rated as the 13th best movie of all time on IMDB.

I don`t get why people care so much about Rotten Tomatoes or any other rating side on the internet for that matter.

MCU fans take it seriously. See id consider myself a fan of the MCU...i mean i see far more MCU films than i don't...but i don't give a rat's ass about ratings. If i want to see a film ill go see it and make a judgement from that. A trailer has more to do with my interest than any amount of critic scores.

No. It's subject to bias, agendas and current social politics. Meaning, the critics who see themselves as Z-list celebrities say what they think will put them in the good graces of whoever they think their audience is. Some of my favorite films are also rated poorly, and I believe if the identical film were released today it would have much better ratings because these 'critics' would get caught up in the moment-- instead of rating them the way they do older films they're seeing for the first time.

Because it isn't, apparently you and thenolan are among those who cannot figure out what RT actually is or what the Tomatometer represents.
Joker has an actual average rating of 7.24/10 whilst Captain Marvel has an average rating of 6.8/10, Joker rates higher, the Tomatometer is merely a ratio, 78/100 critics say CM is good, 68/100 critics say Joker is good, just means Joker is a little more divisive which given the content of the movie makes sense, but means it is also scoring significantly higher with those who like it than Captain Marvel did.
Seriously after all these years how can so many people still not wrap their heads around this? the tomato meter on has 2 options yay or nay, anything lower than a 3/5, 6/10, 60% or I think a C grade counts as a nay, anything that or above is a yay, so the Tomatometer is worthless as a 100% on that can mean it's a 6/10 movie where as a 0% can be a 5.9/10 rating, and the highest possible "rotten" rated movie can actually be higher than the lowest possible "fresh" movie.

Joker's way better than Captain Marvel. Who cares what RT says. Nobody, that's who. I've been railing against the faith people put into sites like RT and reviewers for years. Think for yourselves, it's the only way to go.

Not really since they consider a film with a 60% rating as "rotten." Why is anything between 60% and 50% not part of the positive majority opinion?

I see some people still don't know how aggregates work. Or even that RT IS an aggregate.
