They should retitle this movie, ' Member Berries: The Movie'. - Endor like planet...Member? - Kamino like planet...Member? - Frozen like planet...Member? - 80+ year old Lando tacked on at the end as an after thought because Carrie Fisher isn't around anymore. I get the feeling they wouldn't even bothered to include him otherwise. He's an after thought. So much for caring about the only main minority character from the OT. - Palpatine. Whether a flashback, dream sequence, or him playing a pivotal role as the Big Bad, it's a pathetic move. It also greatly undermines the whole storyline between Luke and Anakin, but I suppose Disney is all about destroying that legacy. - C3PO telling Rey & Co. that they're his friends even though he barely spent anytime with them in the trilogy...they're strangers to him!  He should have just turned beside him to R2. - Kylo and Rey running around doing the same nonsense they've done the previous two movies. I swear their clips could have been leftover scrap footage from 7/8. - Finn and Poe sidelined as always. Although Poe is an unlikable, insubordinate now, so might as well double down. It took them 5 years to tank the box office and merchandise for a 40+ year old franchise. Now 2 years more is all it took for them to nail the coffin. Wow. Let this be a cautionary tell to anyone wanting to be a screenwriter or Hollywood executive: PLAN AHEAD!!! Don't go into a trilogy without an overall story arc.

Whats there not to like? The trailers are always great. Its the movies that miss the mark... Respectfully I am going to have to disagree with you on that one.
I myself actually loved both "THE FORCE AWAKENS" and "ROGUE ONE", I actually still Love Them!
I was disappointed with "THE LAST JEDI" however I do think that it had it's moments and I actually did enjoy "SOLO" although I don't love it like I do with "THE FORCE AWAKENS" and "ROGUE ONE".

That's funny - I was laughing about that C3PO / JJ Abrams pleading to everyone to come and have "one last look at their friends" this morning over on the Star Wars board but I didn't really think about that fact that he hasn't really interacted with them at all in the Disney films! Makes that scene seem even more cringeworthy / desperate. |

No R2 is standing beside him. He wasn't looking at him. Maybe Chewbacca...but then he said "friends" which means more than one. Hmmmm.... Maybe they'll CGI in Leia and Luke as Force Ghosts and then the scene will make sense.

I guess?  Maybe they just want to sell more comics/novels actually showing those connections in the future...that seems the acceptable way of cutting corners on storytelling nowadays.
