Certainly not George Lucas. Aside from being a major player of the franchise, what did he have on this particular movie? Anyway, I voted nobody, as I like the movie. "Certainly not George Lucas." ------------------------------------
Yeah, I really have no idea why I even put both him and JJ Abrams in My Poll.
They both had nothing to do with "THE LAST JEDI".

I mean Abrams is somewhat responsible for having the previous movie be so similar and that led Rian Johnson to make something wildly unexpected, which made it an odd transition between both films. Again it isn’t as direct but it’s something.

Kennedy first, the cast second, the writers third.
This cast is just boring. I cringe every time they recite a line that is intended to be humorous. They have no real timing as actors. And here we are going into the third, and hopefully the last, with them leading it.

The 'writers' comment is more about the whole Star Wars universe and where it's heading, which is nowhere.

If you don't mind me asking you, Did you see what I told "Archelaus" back on Page 1 ?
If not then you should take a look at it, It is the 3rd Post I wrote on Page 1.
I first found out what I said in that Post almost 2 years ago but I never found out if it was actually true or not but supposedly, The New Trilogy (well before filming even began on "THE FORCE AWAKENS") did indeed have both a Plan and a Direction (by JJ Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan) that it was supposed to go in but Rian Johnson changed it. You should take a look at what I told "Archelaus" and let me know if you think that that could have indeed happened. I would definitely like to know what you think of it.

Was the plan to create boring characters with boring actors and boring stories?
The Force Awakens was A New Hope with a female. The only interesting aspect was the return of Han Solo and better effects.
I liked it but I have never once wanted to watch it again.
I do go back and watch the original Star Wars about once a year. Because the characters are fun and interesting.
But if you like these films, great for you. No more money will they get from me.

Disney. They hired the people. If Rian Johnson said he wanted Luke to go out like a punk then Disney is to blame for hiring Kathleen Kennedy and letting him do it.
But I think the basic story is still from Lucas. Luke did not save the universe in ROTJ. The Other was never specifically stated to be Leia so it seems they are in fact using the Lucas plot line for the sequels. The Emperor was to be in episode 9 like he is now.

Well look, you already know how I feel about that. Respectfully I do disagree with you on that (especially the actors which I myself don't think are boring).
However, I absolutely respect your feelings and opinions on all of it. I don't agree with them but I do respect them and I absolutely mean that.

Well JJ Abrams did say (on camera) that it was George Lucas's idea for The Emperor to return in "THE RISE OF SKYWALKER" and I also do know that Lucas came on board the Movie and helped Abrams and Chris Terrio re-write the 2nd and 3rd Acts of the Movie and he also directed a couple of scenes as well.

Yeah, I have no problem with you liking this film and others. I simply disagree on these particular films.
There are plenty of movies I like I'm sure you don't.
It would be boring if we all liked and disliked the same films.
