Would be cool to have the President throws out the first pitch for a WS game the first WS in the nation's capital since 1933. I'm no fan of George W. Bush, but I gotta say, one of the most positive things that could possibly come out of the awfulness of 9/11 was when President Bush threw the first pitch at Yankees Stadium. Standing alone on the mound at Yankees Stadium, an open target, he calmly and confidently threw a strike right down the middle of the plate. A true middle finger to anyone who thought the USA would stay down after the sucker-punch of that awful day. I was proud of our President, our country, and our greatest sport. And yet that is all forgotten about and no one else gives a damn at all about it. Get over yourself with your patriotic propaganda bullshit. What about the sucker punches America does all the fucking time to other countries? We got what we deserved on 9/11. Reap what you sow.

Just mentioning that moment in game 3 of 2001 WS gives me goosebumps. What a powerful sight having the President there throwing the first pitch! As far as I remember, that was the only time when the entire USA comes to gather regardless of party line.
Glad we will see game 5 and have the President attending the game. Too bad he won't be throwing out the first pitch. Probably for the better. The people who do not like him have this unreasonable exaggerated hatred. That is the power of the Media. Someone can do crazy thing with him on the field wide open.
Aw geez. Another Trumptard who drinks the orange Kool Aid mixed in with a drug called D-Nile. The media has nothing at all to do with him being a racist asshole Turd Lump. He is a no class white trash clueless wimpy lying moron who has no fucking clue at all how to behave and at least act presidential.

Thanks. I wish I could say I'm totally clean but that would be a lie, I'm a big pot-smoker. I've never smoked cigarettes, and have way toned down drinking, so I'm hoping the weed won't hurt me physically as the years roll on. Me too! When I get the munchies, I dominate an apple or the dried fruit. It's specifically why I don't buy chips or any garbage because at night, after the Mrs. goes to bed and I'm left to my own devices, I'd eat the entire bag after a session in the backyard. But it's not like the old days of taking several gravity bong hits in the pool, hell if I tried that now I'd probably die. I take 2, maybe 3 hits tops of my bowl and I'm good. I bought one pack of cigarettes, sophomore year of college, Camel Lights. I smoked the whole pack over the course of a weekend and felt disgusting throughout. I don't know exactly what compelled me to buy it, but I haven't had a single drag of a cigarette ever since. I know there was a lot of commotion when NY (and other states) started banning smoking inside bars and restaurants, but looking back on it, how gross was it to come home stinking of cigarettes? Your clothes stunk, your hair stunk, you had to shower before going to bed so you didn't ruin your pillows. Kinda blows the mind when you watch old movies (or just remember your childhood) and see doctors smoking inside exam rooms of hospitals. Damn you people. Now this got stuck in my head.

They (MLB) probably don't want him to throw out the first pitch anyway. That is assuming the fat, limp wristed one can even throw a ball at all.
He would probably ask for a microphone and get it because he is the POTUS after all and just go on a three hour rambling speech filled with rants and raves and self praises of how great he is while declaring they will play baseball on the moon because of him and how awesome the ball games were when the Revolutionary Soldiers were taking a break from fighting to get the airports back.

So you are against others having free speech unless it fits with your agenda and you approve. Got it. Next time I'll be sure to post a bunch of KKK hate speech that I'm sure you will love. And you support a team that cheats called "The Patriots." Oh the irony!

Congratulations, Ace. You came to the exact wrong conclusion. What part of "I suppose it's a good thing that we tolerate..." did you not understand? Free speech means permitting others to speak, even if they are anti-American pos, such as yourself. Free speech doesn't mean I have to like it. capiche?

Same here. I turned 40 this year and I look significantly younger than guys in my office who are in their early 30s. They're all overweight, balding and have this weird, pale pallor. I'm in much better shape than I was when I was 30 and I attribute it all to eating right (or at least better) and getting tons of exercise. I don't drink beer so much anymore but I do enjoy red wine with dinner and a small glass of scotch on the weekends. Everything in moderation. Never mind looking better, people would feel better if they put a little effort into it. Work out and watch what you put into your body. I'm not a Mormon or a TB12 method kook or anything. You can drink alcohol on occasion or even eat fast food once in a while. But if you do that stuff every day, you're going to feel it, and not in a good way. I agree. I like to have fun and I watch what I eat, but I am not on some crazy diet. All it takes is trying to pay attention to what you eat and working out. I see dudes 15 years younger than me who look terrible. It is crazy to me.

You come on here, spewing irrational hatred, and have the nerve to take some kind of high ground. You say America deserved 9/11 and you insult posters for no reason, but then try and condemn the way Trump acts.

I saw Bush 1 throw out the first pitch at the San Diego All star game, I think it was 92. Man, there was a heavy heavy secret service presence in the stadium. Weird watching a game while looking at the snipers lying at the top of various parts of the stadium.
