This Movie was.....was..........Well, I had actually already seen it before but it had been just a little while since the last time.
Having said that, The Movie was....well it was..........well, it definitely was something. I'm not sure how to really describe that something.
Has anybody else here also seen it ?

As much as I like Spike Lee and the cast my love of the original outweighed any interest in seeing a remake. One day maybe.

OLDEUBOI9/10 Since OLDBOY 2013 is a remake of OLDEUBOI, Spike Lee wasn't obligated to re-create the dark oniric atmosphere. However, he did need to create a mystery atmosphere because of the type of story. Well, there isn't any atmosphere at all. Doesn't he have a particular visual style? Probably not. Otherwise, why would he copy direct shots from the original version? Anyway, there's nothing to hook the audience. Certainly not JOE DOUCETTE. Unlike DAE-SU OH, he's a one-dimensional character, and not even Josh Brolin's good performance can fix that. If you haven't seen the original but someone has spoiled the ending for you, don't worry. This version adds red herrings for people like you to keep you guessing. By the way, the only thing this remake improves on is that script writer Mark Protosevich has added more believable explanations for the plot twists. However, that's only an improvement if you didn't buy them the 1st time. I did, because it became clear from the start that it would be a strange story that would require suspension of disbelief. Also, this semi-improvement is nothing compared to how the ending was ruined. Without spoiling anything, I'll just tell you that this version ends right after a shocking revelation, unlike the original which had a complex epilogue. 4/10 ------------------------------------- You can read comments of other movies in my blog.

As much as I like Spike Lee and the cast my love of the original outweighed any interest in seeing a remake. One day maybe. I haven't seen the Original but I have heard that it is Pretty Good.
