The recent consolidation got rid of all animation boards. I'd like to advocate an exclusive animation board. The old ones were buried, hence why they weren't successful. Film general and tv general aren't substitutes, animation topics don't survive long on those boards. Keep animation discussion alive and showcase animation respect by having a dedicated animation board.

I agree. The threads disappear too quickly if they're on Film General.

Yeah, an animation board would be nice. The old one was buried so deep it might as well have been invisible.

I think an Animation board among the main film & tv boards could be very popular.

I'm happy to have a few votes of confidence, but there's a long ways to go. Until I see a bustling animation board I won't be satisfied, nor should any animation fan be.

Give us an animation board instead, something worth discussing. Been there, done that. Didn't work. It wasn't used, so it was losed.

Animation respect doesn't come easy, I know this, but it deserves a real chance to grow. It was never hidden. It had over two years to grow. It stagnated both as a sub-board and on the home page. If you want to talk about an animated movie or television show, try Film or TV General.

I started a topic on this and it's accepted by animation fans that such topics die quick on any general board. Animation respect requires proper building and a designated place from which to build it. The board did better when it was on the front page.and didn't die until it was buried. The potential was definitely there for a unique and wonderful community here.

To add to this, I attempted to fight for animation respect in another topic and it was locked down. We shouldn't stand for this so please showcase more support. If going to the general boards is needed, let me know. We will achieve our goal!

If the board is visible it will be used.
If I wanted to post a comment about the Family Circus Valentine's Day special (1978) and I put it on Film General or TV it would sink into the void of darkness pretty fast. But if I posted about it on the Animation board I might at least get one person or more to comment.

If the board is visible it will be used. It was visible and it wasn't used. No board here has ever been buried so deep as to be inaccessible or hidden from view. Threads about the Family Circus Valentine's Day special (1978) could have been created in the Animation board, the Child and Family Films board, the Seasonal board...all of which were rarely, if ever, used for over two years. As an alternative, you could created an Animation thread somewhere and bookmark it.

While technically true, people are lazy and boards always do better on the front. This included the animation board, it did better on the front page. Those later boards were always a waste even in the original IMDB days. The animation board on the other hand had a grand history that deserves to be continued. That's a lame and lazy solution.

Do you have a better one? Because repeating failed history is not a good plan, especially more than twice. Again, I'm sorry you aren't pleased, but that's how it goes sometimes. However, you do have another option: www.proboards.com/create-free-forum

The animation board at its height had many a great conversation. Why not just give it one more chance? Are you afraid I'll prove you wrong and help drive a thriving board?

I'm not disrespecting or belittling anything, but this little chat is going to get really nasty if you continue to pursue your delusional take on it. The Animation board has been given enough chances and more than enough time. It wasn't used, so it was removed. Build a bridge.

Arguments solve nothing, so let me ask you this. What do I have to do to prove to you an animation board is needed here?
