Diamonds Are Forever The Abyss I don't think "DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER" took place entirely on an Oil Rig.

Thunder Bay (1953) is about as close as I can get. It's a pretty good James Stewart film. Probably about 70% takes place on or during the construction of an offshore oil rig. .jpg)

You won't find too many movies like that. All I can think of is Deepwater Horizon.

No favorite I can think of..
the secret life of words (2005) is an ok woman's drama with Sarah Polley and Tim Robbins.
Terrorist thriller, north sea hijack (1980) with Roger - James Bond - Moore, is watchable.
There's an 80s? horror movie I can't remember the name of - and for good reason.
red water (2003) is a cheapo made for tv shark attack thriller, while a big budget deepwater horizon was no less a snoozer.
Worst scene - Bruce Willis & Ben Affleck behaving like morons in armageddon.

Terrorist thriller, north sea hijack (1980) with Roger - James Bond - Moore, is watchable. Was re-titled FFOLKES for U.S. release... Considered serviceable but a bit dull... mainly because the commando mission depicted in the film is more realistically handled (less action) than in most such films.
