So I decided to jump ahead for one poll because my next 5 years or so are pretty mainstream and I know some of you like more indie/foreign films and 2009 is one of my most diverse top 20 lists.

I voted for Avatar, which I rate in the 7.5-8.0/10 range. Great visuals and fun entertaining popcorn movie, despite the unoriginal storyline.
My favorite movies of 2009 were:
I Love You, Man
The Hangover
Nothing else on the list really leaps out on me, except maybe Funny People, but I didn't like the 2nd half as much as I did the 1st half. Same for the movie Watchmen.
I might ammend my post at a later date, as some of these movies I haven't seen but plan to in the coming months.

I thought people hated Avatar. Surprised to see it at #1 right now. I mean not many people have voted yet, but still.

1.Moon - 8.5-9/10
2.The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - 7-7.5/10 (this is much better than the 2011 remake as the remake is average/forgettable(i.e. 5/10))
3.The Road - 7/10
those three are the only ones i like amongst those i have seen. i have seen about 11 of those movies.
