Richie Havens has a fantastic version of Here Comes the Sun. I also like Tangerine Dream’s Tomorrow Never Knows and the Joe Cocker at Woodstock version of With a Little Help from My Friends.

I love nearly all of William Shatner's performances.....but THiS...is for me bloody awful.
I adore kitsch, retro, spoof....but this doesn't seem to work on any level apart from an unfunny pi$$-take.

The Fool on the Hill--Sergio Mendes and Brasil '66: Classic late 1960s soft rock, smooth and sophisticated. I heard this years before the Beatles version, which sounds as if McCartney just woke up when he recorded it.
Got to Get You Into My Life--Earth, Wind and Fire: Lively and jazzy, and much better than the flat and loud Beatles original.
