I think it may have been one of those things celebrities get bounced into and unless you make a scene you can't avoid it. Ozil seems an easily upset and quiet bloke which is unusual for footballers. Only the manager can say exactly why he no longer features in the matchday squads but it seems to date back to the attempted carjacking, maybe that deeply affected him, who knows? Never seems to me to be a man who is happy in his career, perhaps he has grown to hate football. Wouldn't be the first.
