5th Game 7 this decade. 2011, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019 Has to be close to a record. I know there was four in a row in the 50's (55-58). I'm not racking my brain for the answer. The 60s has 6: 60, 62, 64, 65, 67, 68. I forgot 1962. How could I forget Willie McCovey and Bobby Richardson

Could be an all road win series. Has that ever happened in a 7 game series? This is the 1st time road team won 1s 6 games, so never happened.

Torre says it was interference on Gurriel's chance to make the catch! That's an even worse call.

Why did they review it?

Strasburg's last game in DC? He can opt out and wasn't picked to do so but his stock just went waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay up. Didn't he once said that through the influence of Tony Gwynn, he hope to stay with one team? I think heard that somewhere, but don't quite remember when and where.

I wanna say the Cardinals/Twins maybe from the 80's? 1987 was the all home wins series. The Metrodome was so damned loud.
No, never happened in a 7 game series 1996 and 1906 were all road team wins but 6 game series
Had that backwards then. My bad.

It's just weird. Did the umps not know it wasn't reviewable? Maybe that's what they were trying to figure out. Who knows.

These umpire needs to get their act together, but they are not gonna since the union is so powerful and that they are not accountable for bad calls. The umpires have been sucks for many years. I think after that umpire strikes in the 80s (?) that got rid of a bunch of good umpires, they never recover.

Fuck this shit. We are gonna lose this ws. At home Fuck all this Seriously, why are you freaking out? Your team still won two years ago. Even if they don't win this year, it's not like they won't ever have another shot in your lifetime. I'll probably be dead when the Indians win their next World Series. That's like me telling you hey LeBron won one it's all good. These opportunities don't come all the time. What guarantee says we will be back? Ask Marino about it. Cole is a free agent. Yankees gonba throw cash his way. Verlander isn't getting younger. I don't see it man. So be happy we won one. Dude Houston has 3 titles to our name. Cleveland, Atlanta, Houston. I'm done if we blow this. It stresses me out too much. Game 7 is it I can't handle this horseshit. In my lifetime? WEVE WON ONE TITLE IN MY LIFETIME. I know how game 7 turns out.

Hard to pity a team that's won 311 games , two pennants and at least one WS over the last three years.

Fuck, as a Braves fan I'd be happy just advancing to the NLCS the way it has been going.

That was an awful call, one of the worst i have seen in a World Series in recent years. And i don't know why they wasted so much time. It's a judgment call, so you can't review it nor can you protest it. Now, you SHOULD be able to, but you can't. So I don't get what they were doing. Luckily it doesn't matter now. But had the Nats lost the game and the Series, this would have gone down in infamy.

I can see the base path shit when its egregious. Way out of the line either way. Turner ran straight, and like they said in the post game, a batted ball like that naturally drags the body toward the insine of the base path. And catchers are taught to throw right at the runner in that situation.
Judgment call my ass. The only judgment call is baseball should be ball and strikes. And the umpires should be heeding the calls for robotic umpires in that. Up your games boys or you'll be back to umpiring at little league games.

I had to look it up. The last five years, the World Series has been won by the road team in the last game of the series.

They have to rewrite it and make it reviewable. If the runner is in legal position past the infield grass, a throw that takes the ball to the right of the front edge of the base cannot be called interference. That way they have a metric for review. Glove between the base and home plate is fair game for the runner.
