Yes. So if we lose game 7 im out of sports. I figure put something on the line. I'll finish my football picks and I'm retiring. Game 7 or bust. My dad was a big sports fan until that Houston buffalo nonsense. Last time he watched was 2005 swept world series. He quit after that. All his life and had enough. Thats where I'm at. |

Ask a Mariners or Rangers fan if they would trade places with you. Hard to pity a team that's won 311 games , two pennants and at least one WS over the last three years.
Fuck, as a Braves fan I'd be happy just advancing to the NLCS the way it has been going. Oddly I'd trade. Least I knew what to expect when we lost 100 games a year.... |

Seriously, why are you freaking out? Your team still won two years ago. Even if they don't win this year, it's not like they won't ever have another shot in your lifetime. I'll probably be dead when the Indians win their next World Series. That's like me telling you hey LeBron won one it's all good. These opportunities don't come all the time. Dude Houston has 3 titles to our name. Cleveland, Atlanta, Houston. I'm done if we blow this. It stresses me out too much. Game 7 is it I can't handle this horseshit. In my lifetime? WEVE WON ONE TITLE IN MY LIFETIME. I know how game 7 turns out. Dude, it’s just a game. R-e-l-a-x. I don’t think Cole leaving (if he does) ruins the Astros’ chances. You guys went to the World Series without him. Yes, Verlander isn’t getting younger, and yet since he’s been with Houston, he’s been playing exceptionally well. You may lose Correa in a year, but I don’t think he’d be that big of a loss. He was injured for a good portion of this year, and the Astros still won 107 games. And yes, the Astros have won one in your lifetime. My baseball team, the Indians, last won 71 years ago. And they’re likely going to start rebuilding here in a year of two because Larry Dolan is a cheap piece of shit who doesn’t like to spend money on free agents. So I’m going to have to sit through another five year period of my team losing 90+ ever year before they are any good. So the next time they ever win anything will probably be when I’m dead. And yet I’m not giving up on them. People who give up on rooting for a team because they lost a championship aren’t real fans to begin with... especially when that team just won a championship a few years prior. |
