When we will get a cool blu-ray release of this?
I miss the old comic book and TV days when Spider-Man looked 22-25 years old and was slightly ripped (not slim like a sick kid).
Nicholas Hammond was perfect for the role.
Nobody hired him for a cameo... Sony and Disney don't care to make the true Peter Parker stand out and make a cameo of some sort in their entertaining, roller-coaster movies.

HE WAS! I watched the pilot recently after decades (I remember the premiere).
His hair was a bit off but he looked exactly like the comic book character in the 70s. Another actor from the time who could have been ok (although I prefer Hammond) was David Huffman.

By the way: When will we see an adult Spider-Man looking like a man, with some muscles here and there, there and here... you know, like the Spider-Man that I love so much, the Spider-Man from the seventies and the eighties, to me the best comic book Spider-Man? I cannot be fan of a kid looking sick and slim, if you know what I mean.

I cannot be fan of a kid looking sick and slim, if you know what I mean. But that's what Spider-man is. He's meant to be slim. Aunt May always used to comment on if he was eating enough. He's slender and acrobatic looking.

And yet Nicolas Hammond was "perfect for the role" and looked like this Whereas Tom Holland is "acrobatic and muscular" because he is actually an accomplished gymnast and dancer The stylisation of the comics is not always necessary for the character. If we stuck to the stylisation of a lot of comics all women in DC and Marvel films would have massive tits.

Nicholas looked like an awesome adult man, 28-30 and something. The stuntman who played Spider-Man had a good physique.

But they aren't portraying an adult Spider-man like they did with the Raimi and Webb movies, Holland is portraying the high school Spider-man that we saw in the comics back in the 60's.

AGAIN Toby looked like a little boy. Andrew looked like a little boy. This is the third time. Damn, someone wants Spidey being a superhero for kids. Forever. I love the '70/'80 Peter Parker who looked like a cool MAN.

I love the '70/'80 Peter Parker who looked like a cool MAN. By Spiderman 3 Toby looked like a 45year old man and not in a good way. Andrew looked like a college student in 1 and damn near 30 by 2. Tom Holland is the only spiderman that looked like a High Schooler when in High School. Angst and Guilt are Spiderman's 2 defining qualities. And High School to young Manhood is the best time for Angst. Guilt can be portrayed anytime.
