Pitchers & catchers in not soon enough. January is the worst. In my many years of waiting for spring training, I've found that once you get past all the energy of the holidays, then the wait from January till pitchers and catchers day seems soooooooo looooong. |

These kids that put up silly radar numbers come along once in a while and usually are flashes in the pan. In 2001, everyone got a stiffy for Colt Griffin. He could hit 101 on the radar gun. Drafted 9th overall by the Royals. Never heard of him, exactly. Never made it past AA

Edwin Encarnacion supposedly headed to the White Sox as well.

Not sure if I'd go quite that far yet, but they should definitely be in contention all season. Both the White Sox and Reds might be real interesting teams to watch. |
