They keep talking about abolishing it and just going to permanent Daylight Saving Time, but they never do.

The longer it takes to get dark outside the better. so it sucks when they change it here in less than 24 hours as it will get darker outside a hour earlier and it's already early enough, which sucks.

Catman loathes time changes. They have time change in China? 猫的主人 < Chinese for cat owner. Guard your kitty/ies so NO ONE there EATS him, her or them.

It's all bs. I for one hope the premise of global time takes hold - i.e. midnight in UK is midnight in NYC is midnight in Tokyo. That would probably take a couple years to get used to, the sun rising at 11am EST would be weird for all those of us over the age of 4, for a while. I mentioned that to a friend & they said it wasn't possible lols… yeah it is, it's all f'n arbitrary as it is. Time is the measure of Earth around the Sun, but that doesn't mean Australia goes around the Sun a day earlier than Quebec does it?? Reminds me of ppl who refuse to accept a map or atlas shown with south at the top. It's all just f'n land & water, the map isn't any less logical or real. I suppose for those ppl it'd be like making the alphabet letters upside down & trying to read.

Instead of remembering that the local time in the West Coast is three hours behind my local time, I would have to remember that their normal working hours are from 5PM Universal Time to 2AM.

it takes me weeks to get in tune with these time changes. So glad I no longer have to travel for work. East coast to west coast was never fun.

Or just keep things as it is. But if they're going to do it, just keep the daylight savings time. As was said, the longer it's light out the better. Sure it would mean that on December 21(the shortest day of the year) sunrise won't be until near 8am but that's ok.

I don't have a real problem with it. I'm a little "off," when we Spring Ahead, for a few of days. But, I'm acclimated by Wednesday. And, I love it being lighter later.
Falling Back doesn't bother me, in terms of it being a change. I don't care for the early darkness. However, I start looking forward to December 21st, when the daylight begins to increase, again.
