I think that he will either go to the Yankees or Red Sox. There’s no fucking way the Red Sox sign another 30 million a year pitcher. good God

He left 3 years, 75,000,000 on the table including 45,000,000 in 2022. Gutsy

I think that he will either go to the Yankees or Red Sox. I think the Rams will get him to replace Jared Goff. They already lost Sean Mannion.

Smart business move by him. Coming off of one of the best seasons of his career and all. This'll likely be his final big pay day. I personally think Washington loses out on Rendon and re-sign Strasburg. I think he sits on the market for a while though. I imagine all the teams that miss out on Gerritt Cole will then flood Strasburg with offers.

Strasburg was the best pitcher of this postseason, it will be interesting to see where he ends up, if he actually leaves Washington.

2020- $25 m 2021- $15 m 2022- $15 m 2023- $45 m
Because he opted out, the $30 million that was deferred this season will pay out $10 million on July 1st 2020, 2021, and 2022.
He will certainly get a better AAV. Look for something like Kershaw's 3/93 contract.

I don’t think he will get that much more money but he will get more years. He’s injury prone. And will he get a better situation? Red Sox are out, Dodgers don’t sign big ticket FA’s, the Yankees haven’t splashed around a lot of money recently . Philadelphia is possible. After that, the big spenders look to be the Angels and Padres . Is that where you really want to spend the last good years of your career?

Adeno-associated virus? Average annual value. This is the number luxury tax is calculated off of, not real dollars.

I want no part of him with his injury history.
Any team that inks him beyond 3 years is nuts.
IMO even that's a risk.
Ticking time bomb.
