In a bar with 20 other people. 19 Yankee fans and little ol' me. It's a wonder I didn't get thumped.

Sitting in an Australian Politics lecture if memory serves. I remember going into the computer lab to check the score after the game.

And I was intoxicated and obnoxious. The Yankee fans thought they would walk all over Arizona, Shilling and Johnson or no Schilling and Johnson. Especially with a one run lead and Mo Riviera on the mound. They were debating if this was the gratest Yankee team or not "Four title in a row, five out of six. GREATEST EVER!!!!!"

I forget where I was, or who I was with, but like Elaine Benes might say, we laughed and laughed and laughed......

Watching at home, in a Milwaukee suburb, with my 10 year old son who was then a Yankees fan (not sure how, or why, since nobody in our family, or anybody else we knew followed them....though he was a HUGE Derek Jeter fan, so I think it may have started there), however, because he was so young, I think he may have been asleep by the time this one ended.....and got the bad news the next morning (and even though he was a pretty ardent fan, he didn't seem particularly upset about it....probably because he was so young. Now 28, he, like the rest of us, is a Brewers fan......and Packers......and Bucks......and a BIG TIME Badgers fan (having graduated from UW, in 2013)). However, for some reason, whenever I think of this series, coming so closely on the heels of 9/11 (this series ended on Sunday, November 4th of 2001), I always then think of the Super Bowl (XXXVI - February 3, 2002 - Pats Over Rams, 20-17) that followed, because I watched it onboard a Disney cruise.....the only time I've ever watched a Super Bowl NOT at home, or at a friend's house, and because of the two long flights prior to and after this trip, and just how "scary" those flights seemed, coming so closely after the horrors of 9/11. And yeah, I know.....looking back now, even to me, 5 months after the events on 9/11 seems like a pretty long time in-between. But to anyone who has a good memory, and/or did any flying anytime in that first year (or so) after those terrorist attacks, those events were still WAY too fresh in EVERYBODY'S mind, to make flying seem anything BUT safe..... But I digress......uh.......what were we talking about ?? SAVE FERRIS

Don't remember if I was watching or not. I had just moved from CA and still hadn't really cared about baseball since the 1994 Season (including the suspicious HR race in 1998).
