What do you think? Generally speaking. Yeah or nah? What's been your experience?

On average I think poor people are less intelligent, but also less naive.

But from the gist of that test... it's not really that they are stupid, it's just they are under more financial stress which messes with their focus etc a bit more. but I suspect in the real world, a small IQ drop is not going to be the difference between having plenty of $ and being poor.
but I suspect there is more to those who have money than those who don't based strictly on intelligence. some stuff I suspect is luck and some people are more motivated than others and some people just tend to get stuck in a cycle of bad habits etc.
but I suspect poorer people might have to be a bit more inventive on how to stretch out what $ they do have since I suspect a richer person is probably more likely to spend plenty of $ on crap they don't even remotely need (but I think some do (I suspect especially younger people) is instead of getting a item that's pretty good for much less $, they opt for the high end item which is not much better but costs a lot more $). so poor people might be more likely to spend what little $ they do have a bit more efficiently where as a rich person could blow through quite a bit of $ on mostly stupid stuff that if the poorer person had the richer persons excess $ it could make a world of difference for them.
I suspect some people are horrible at money management as they suddenly get a decent amount of money and instead of looking down the road a bit, like more of the big picture (hell, even just trying to manage it well from month-to-month), they go out and blow it on a bunch of crap (like a bunch of little things etc) and then not long after they are poor again. I suspect a fair amount of people just buy a bunch of little stuff that adds up in a months time to where if they did not buy a bunch of random crap they would have been in much better shape by the end of the month etc. because I don't know about everyone else... but assuming a person is in a low money situation you got to start conserving $ to stretch things out to get you through a month etc otherwise you will screw yourself and will be that much more likely to stay poor as I suspect many people try living quite a bit beyond their means and that buries them in debt. sure, sometimes I understand that some people are just screwed and even with decent $ management they are still poor, but those people who could get by half-way decently, but do not due to their excess spending on crap they don't really need, I don't feel sorry for these types as they did it to themselves.
but it seems the more $ one gets the more one spends. but even factoring that in, once a person reaches a certain $ level and they still seem to struggle to get by half way decently with a bit of spending $, I don't feel sorry for them as they did it to themselves.
I guess there are plenty of ways of looking at this stuff. just some random thoughts

No. But if you listen to Joe Biden, poor kids are just as bright as white kids. Yes, he said that.

Overall? Absolutely. It's common sense. Less money equals less options for education, opportunities to travel, experience life (outside your living area), etc.

Non-poor people have more opportunities to showcase their intelligence.

Poor people are usually less educated but not less intelligent.
In fact, because wealth promotes nepotism, the children of wealthy parents inherit income and power but not necessarily their parent's drive and intelligence. I've known two different sons of two different wealthy fathers who drove their father's companies into bankruptcy.

No, I don't think so.
My cousin lives out in the sticks in East Texas and while most of the people that live out there couldn't solve a calculus problem, a lot of them can rebuild a car engine, hunt and skin an animal to live off of, and know the types of trees and vegetation around them. How many college educated rich people could tell you an oak tree from an ash tree? I think there are intelligent and non-intelligent rich people as well as poor people. Formal education is a different story though, but that isn't always a necessary guarantee of higher intellengence.

I know people who are book smart but who are dumb as a box of rocks when it comes to common sense. If things went to pot, who do you think will be the survivors? Academics or those who are practically smart? (By practically I mean being practical)

Being intelligent can make you rich but being rich can’t make you intelligent.
