It's anecdotal and prolly peppered with a little confirmation bias, but this is generally what I see with my friends and family. There are exceptions, but generally most MCU movies in the last decade in half have been more of a must see in theaters that DCEU, Sony Marvel, and Fox Marvel. And usually the must see see was first week if not opening weekend. With the rest was either wait and see or watch at home. Me personally I went to most if not all and drug people with me.
If nothing we do matters then all that matters is what we do. because that's all there is. What we do. Now. Today.
Meanwhile Joker is on its way to a billion dollars box office.
Yeah I think with how well received Joker has been I think people are going to be willing to check out this new direction that DC films are going. People can say what they want about the Snyderverse but that time is over. I don’t go into DC movies with low expectations anymore.
Really they had to do a study to figure this out? look at the box office averages, MCU has a much higher average, that tells you all you need to know, plus who cares? most people will either not watch the movies or watch them at home, again this is obvious by looking at the numbers, and is the case with EVERY film EVER made in EVERY genre, no film has ever been watched by the majority of people around the world in the cinema, big fucking shock, our next story water is a liquid and may make you wet a recent study concludes, we will have more details when we return, but first sports, over to you Bob...for fuck sake.
