Brie Larson wasn't in Endgame enough to deserve any kind of award.

No surprise. As it is, screen time doesn't play a factor in acting nominations at the Oscars. I'm sure summers8 will take issue with that. But there is a precedent set. Ruby Dee had ten minutes in American Gangster yet earning a Supporting nod as did William Hurt for being onscreen for 10 minutes in A History of Violence. Anne Hathaway was in Les Miserables for fifteen minutes and won her Oscar for it;not that I do think she'll be nominated but Brie Larson was in Endgame for 15 minutes.
Hell the poster child for this is Anthony Hopkins who was onscreen for 16 minutes in The Silence of the Lambs but won BEST ACTOR.

Kind of silly to call RDJ and Chris Evans supporting actors

I like Cheadle as an actor but what did he do in this movie that people would even consider nominating him for? This is just Disney tipping their cap to everyone who put in work on the film, which I actually respect. But it feels like overkill as far as Oscar campaigning goes and it won't get them anywhere.

Someone said the idea maybe because RDJ asked Disney not to put him up for an award as he I think felt he didn't do more than anyone else so he didn't deserve to be singled out, so to get around this and hope to get him a nomination Disney went ahead an put all the "stars" of the movie up for consideration knowing Downey will be the one most would put any consideration behind in all honesty.

I thought RDJ said he didn't want a nom. What is this nonsense?

I thought RDJ said he didn't want a nom. What is this nonsense? That was I think for best actor and because he didn't want to be singled out as I think he apparently didn't want to be singled out by the company, this is for best supporting actor and all the other "leads" were put forward along with him, so it's Disney honouring his wishes but in a way that they hope get him and them some additional nominations under their belts.

I nominate them for worst performers razzies Pray tell how in the heck were their performances Razzie worthy? RDJ left a lot of people crying with his performance in Endgame especially when he said "And I...Am...Iron Man!"

Neither one of them can act. RDJ is just RDJ and Larson just has one expression. I too did cry but in joy that this clown is gone What exactly makes you the best judge when it comes to acting ability? Who assigned you to be the be all and end all when it comes to labeling who and who can't act? According to you Kat Dennings is one of the best actresses in the world and perfect for about just any role but you cannot elaborate as to why other than 'she is hot'. Robert Downey, Jr. is a two-time Academy Award nominee, a winner of 40 acting awards, and has a total of 109 nominations. He's been cast in roles for films by John Hughes, Robert Altman, Oliver Stone, Richard Loncraine, Frank Oz, Neil Jordan, and Lord Richard Attenborough - The latter was also a well respected performer. Not only that but your girl Kat Dennings and your boy Jon Bernthal(As well as dozens of others) highly respect Downey, Jr. as an actor. Larson's not too believable as an action hero I will admit(And her social justice warrior practices can get really annoying too) but to say she just has one expression is pure BS as is to claim that she cannot act. I've asked you before, have you seen her in anything beyond as Captain Marvel? Room? Short Term 12? Free Fire? Kong? Trainwreck? Community? 21 Jump Street? Digging for Fire? The United States of Tara? The Spectacular Now? Scott Pilgrim? Greenberg? Tanner Hall? Hoot? The Glass Castle? Aaaaand before you say their award wins and nominations were 'illegitimate' and based entirely on 'politics'...How was that the case at all for Chaplin or Room? Neither movies were political and that voters had to have up there with everyone else. See this is where trolling can go a bit too far, I do not know why you have such hatred for Downey, Jr. and if you really, truly think he is a bad actor but it's getting really old and more pathetic as times goes on, and that you actually claim to have loved that he died on screen in Endgame is just pretty sad and creepy, and I'm left to ask what is it that you hope to accomplish here?

If RDJ, Evans and Hemsworth are supporting actors, who the hell were the main actors? Also, Larson did too little in Endgame to be considered for best supporting actress. Same with Paltrow, Cheadle and a bunch of those other names. Scarjo and Katen Gillan are really the only two who deserve the best supporting actress nom.
