Justin Pogge. Team Canada goalie, Toronto Maple Leafs draft pick.
2006 World Jr's 6-0 record, 1.00 GAA, & 3 shutouts. Gold medal, 5-0 over Russia in the final.
Tournament included the likes of Malkin, Kessel, Backstrom, Ryan, & Downie.
Never again made a mark in hockey. Toronto traded Tuukka Rask instead of Pogge to Boston for Andrew Raycroft, which for newcomers might've been poor karma.

Caleb Hanie was a legitimate thing for one quarter after coming in as the 3rd string QB in the 2010 NFC title game. January 2011, down 0-14, he came in at the end of the 3rd quarter and led the Bears to a TD in his first drive. As this was the only thing the Bears had managed to do all game, the old IMDb Sports board lit up in mock applause as this guy Hanie had done what Jay Cutler and backup Todd Collins could not. He then threw a pick six to Packers DT BJ Raji. 21-7. But then! Hanie led another drive with four consecutive completions, throwing a 35 yard TD pass to Earl Bennett. 21-14! All hail Caleb Hanie! Bears get the ball back after forcing a Packer punt... under Hanie, the Bears advance to the GB 29. 37 seconds left in regulation, it's a one score game with the Super Bowl on the line... and Hanie throws another interception. Packers win; Haniemania is over.

Maybe somebody can help me with this one as I'm not sure what to actually type into Google to find his name.
Does anybody remember this kid pitcher in little league that was getting all this attention for being so dominant and people were questioning whether or not he was too old or something? There was talks that the Yankees I think it was were already scouting him or something. He was literally never heard from again after that.
Dontrelle Willis also came to mind but I looked at his numbers and he had a couple good years and wasn't just the one.
Edit: His name was Danny Almonte
"Almonte was not only the talk of the 2001 LLWS, but the talk of the sports world when he followed up a no-hitter in the Mid-Atlantic Regional finals with a perfect game in the U.S. semifinals in a span of five days.
His team fell in the U.S. finals without their ace on the hill, but the team and Almonte were the story of the series regardless. Almonte was dubbed as the next pitching phenom, but concerns rose about his age.
After some investigation, it was discovered that Almonte was in fact 14 years old and not 12, and he was declared ineligible and his team's wins were forfeited.
While his story is one of deceit, there is no doubt that the Danny Almonte story will forever be one that is talked about whenever the Little League World Series is brought up."

Thanks for finding that info though.

Rashaan Salaam, 1,074 yards and 10 TDs as a rookie for the Bears after a 2,055 yard 24 TD 6.9 yards per carry year at Colorado.
496 yards, 112 yards, 2 yards and gone. Never did have over 3.6 yards a carry in any year as a pro, and had only 16 catches total.
