You can avoid them by not using one of their store cards. All that does is generate a ton of coupons for items that your purchase history suggests will be relevant to you, and rarely are any of them useful. I hate 'loyalty cards' on principal, and think consumers everywhere should boycott them.

Ummm newsflash, they still print them out at the register if you use a loyalty card in the store.

Thanks to other issues, my last visit to those stores (more than enough where I live) was roughly two weeks ago. The first in almost a year. If you do spend anything while using their card, it adds to your junk mail.

Spam email too. You could wish they'd just confine it to stuffing your electronic mailbox with junk, but they want to be sure you get the full multi-media impact, apparently.
