Cowboys should've gone for it on 4th and goal. That field goal does nothing for them and Dak's throwing well.

Vikings get the win 28-24, excellent game, huge road win for the Vikings. They’ve got a very complete, strong team.

If Cousins continues to play like this, the Vikings are probably the best team in the NFC.

The Vikings with a competent Kirk Cousins are the best team in the NFC. The Lombardi trophy's going to finally be in Minnesota... after all these years.

Well, we'll have Tom Brady drive through on his way back to Montana with it, let you guys see it. You guys? I'm not a Vikings fan, chum. And Tom Brady won't be even playing in the Super Bowl this year. Your threats of having him drive through anywhere with his new trophy lack weight. No one's scared of a 50 year old QB whose team has a defense that can't stop anyone competent and whose offense is pure hot garbagé.

Yeah you're safe. Cousins looked like ass just a week ago, and honestly he wasn't anything special tonight. We literally lost to a backup a week ago. This is our curse. Every year we appear to be a good team, but it's just smoke and mirrors.

Here is my recap and analysis of Week 10’s games
Vikings defeat Cowboys 28-24. Nice road win for the Vikings, and they look like one of the NFL’s best and most complete teams, Cousins did a good job, Cook had another strong game and is one of the NFL’s best RB’s, and their defense got some big stops and did a good job of shutting down Zeke. The Cowboys played a pretty good game, Dak played very well, but I’m unsure of just how good the Cowboys are, their defense isn’t playing up to its potential.
Packers defeat Panthers 24-16. Nice win for the Packers, they played a solid game, Rodgers was good, as was Jones and the defense made some big plays when needed, the Packers have a lot of talent on both offense and defense, they are a top tier team. The Panthers put up a good fight, and they have a good team, but I’m not sure if they can make the playoffs, I don’t think they are quite as good as several other NFC teams ahead of them in the playoff picture, I’m unsure about their defense and on offense they need to have some other people besides McCaffrey emerge IMO.
Browns defeat Bills 19-16. Huge win for the Browns as they look to turn their season around, Mayfield and Chubb had good games and their defense was better, they are far on the outside of the AFC playoff picture but the rest of their schedule is easy, it’s possible that they could have a great finish to the season. The Bills are right in the thick of the AFC playoff race but I’m unsure if they will make it, I like what they have on defense but Allen is a mediocre QB and their offense needs to be able to score more.
Falcons defeat Saints 26-9. Falcons play a dominant game and get the win over their biggest rival, they looked like a completely different team today as their defense got pressure on Brees and made big stops and they had a solid rushing attack on offense as well. The Falcons have a lot of talent, but it’s too late for it to matter this season, and Quinn needs to be fired, there’s no excuse for a team with this amount of talent to be 2-7 and I think Quinn no longer calling the defense made a difference today. The Saints laid a massive egg, they didn’t look prepared at all and played a sloppy, lousy game, they have one of the NFL’s best teams but this was just an awful showing.
Steelers defeat Rams 17-12. The Steelers are suddenly right in the AFC playoff race and are playing very well, they have some talent and I like what they have on defense, their offense is iffy and I’m not sure if it’s good enough to get them to a playoff spot but they’ve turned their season around and have a winning record now. The Rams have been disappointing, Goff isn’t playing very well and is struggling with accuracy and TO’s, their rushing game has been mediocre and their defense is just middle of the road, while they have enough talent to get to the playoffs, they aren’t playing well right now.
Titans defeat Chiefs 35-32. Titans remain the most unpredictable team in the NFL as they get a huge win over the Chiefs and stay right in the running for a playoff spot, I don’t think they will get it as they have holes on both sides of the ball but they are very capable of playing well and winning big games as they showed today. Chiefs defense is garbage, Mahomes had a great game but the Chiefs defense is shit and they are going to have to start playing better or it will really hurt the Chiefs in the playoffs.
Dolphins defeat Colts 16-12. Dolphins have suddenly won 2 in a row, and while they are one of the NFL’s worst teams they at least look like they are trying to win now. Terrible loss for the Colts, this is the kind of loss that could keep them from a playoff spot, Hoyer played like shit, but you just cannot lose a game like this if you are the Colts, they are far more talented than the Fins.
Buccaneers defeat Cardinals 30-27. Bucs get a close win, they have an explosive offense and it’s what got them the win today, Winston put up big numbers but he also continued his struggles with turnovers, I’m not sure if he is the answer for them going forward and their defense needs major improvements. Cardinals also need major improvements on defense but they are rebuilding and will get better in the future, and Murray is a good QB.
Bears defeat Lions 20-13. Bears offense played a bit better than normal, Trubisky made a couple of TD passes and the Bears got the win, they still aren’t going anywhere this year because of their offense. The Lions were without Stafford and that cost them the game IMO, and they won’t make the playoffs this year despite having a decent team, their defense needs to improve still.
Ravens defeat Bengals 49-13. Absolute demolition here, the Ravens dominated all around, Jackson played another good game and the Ravens look like one of the NFL’s best teams. The Bengals continue to be the NFL’s worst team and are on track to get the number 1 pick in the draft, they are dismal and definitely need a new QB.
Jets defeat Giants 34-27. 2 lousy teams that are both rebuilding here, Jets get the win behind a solid performance from Darnold, Barkley was a non factor for the Giants which cannot happen for them, and Jones is struggling with turnovers.
Any thoughts?

Regarding the Cowboys Vikings game, could someone explain to me why the Cowboys ran the ball on back-to-back plays (2nd & 3rd down) at the end of the game, when their running game had sucked all night and the passing game was sizzling?

Obviously I'm not as high on my Chargers as I was last week, but I'm high on something and I still feel there is a chance. Next Monday they are in Mexico City to play the Chiefs and I'm hoping Andy Reid will be dumb enough to let his players drink the local Mexican water.
I still think the Chargers could still turn this around, but they better start by beating the Chiefs.

Any thoughts? I generally agree. But specifically, I am not as impressed as you seem to be with the Vikings. I think both the Vikings and Cowboys are both good teams --- but not one of the best teams. If either one makes the playoffs, neither will go very far. The Falcons won because they controlled the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. And they stuck with the run. The Saints on the other hand only ran 11 times. This is a continuing weakness of Sean Payton's play calling. He abandons the run too quickly. And wants to pass, pass, pass.

I should of stuck by my preseason prediction on the Steelers always worming their way into the playoffs late in the season after a mediocre start. I figured once Big Ben went down for the whole season, that was it! But they are the #6 seed of this moment in time! linkIf the playoffs started tomorrow I would probably pick the Steelers to win against Houston because the Texans are another team you can't trust in the playoffs.
