Anything can happen in the NFL. I don't see the Gophers winning the Big Ten title, let alone beating whoever they'd play in the national semi-final. They won't have home field the next time they play an elite team. The Timberwolves will never win the NBA title. Make a screenshot and send this to me when they do.

It’s much more likely that the Vikings win the Super Bowl, I think this Vikings team is capable of doing that if Cousins plays well. I don’t see the Gophers being able to beat Ohio St to win the Big 10 or if they did being able to beat an elite team in the Semifinals.

If, and it's a big if, Kirk Cousins plays smart football, the Vikings have a legitimate shot at winning the Super Bowl. The best chance since 1998 (sorry if that stirs up bad memories).
The Gophers? Yeah, that's a cute story until Ohio St destroys them, then the Gophers cease to be a topic of any serious conversation.

THE Ohio State University- the Gophers, as good as they have been this season, are just another sacrifice from the B1G West.

Are you guys forgetting that the Vikes would have to get past A-Rod and the Packers? The Pack have been dominating the NFC North for quite some time and I expect they will for years to come. Note to millar: Don't you mean 2009? Well, maybe you don't but this Packers fan had to bring this up to love it all over again! "This is not Detroit man! This is the Super Bowl!"

The Packers haven’t won’t a Super Bowl since 2010. Teams have gotten past them every year since then. No one is quaking in their boots when good ol’ A-Rod comes to town anymore.

Though when it comes to NFC North playoffs, the Packers have been coming out on top for years. They advance while the Bears, Lions and Vikes hang up their cleats until the following season. Colon did not play for any of those teams. And then he went on to lose in his one and only SB game while A-Rod won his first one. And now look where they are. Rodgers is still playing with another shot at another SB while Colon is pulling out a victim card. Until another NFC North team dominates over the Packers then you guys will have a point. Case closed.

It's funny, you say you can't base the future on the past, which is true. Then in the next paragraph, you state that because the Packers have dominated the NFC North for years, that this year will be no different.

My point was that the Packers aren’t anything special just because they haven’t been to a Super Bowl since the iPhone 4. You win the division most years? Great, good for you. Here’s a cookie.

However, the Super Bowl usually comes do to who get hot in the end. Week 16 of the 2008 season, the Cardinals lost to NE(with Matt Cassel) 47-7. They didn't lose another game until the Super Bowl. In 2007 the Giants limped into the playoffs then got hot winning 3 playoff road games before knocking off the previously undefeated Patriots. Same with 2011. They were 6-6 in week 13 and on a 4 game losing streak. They got hot from there on out and win the Super Bowl again with a 9-7 record. So, just see who's hot at the end of the season.

Last week when it was exactly halfway through they are already showing playoff scenarios? I know they wanna get the hype train going but geez, wait a few more weeks before leaving the station.
