There's a movie called The Silence on Netflix that seems, on the surface, to be a rip-off of A Quiet Place, especially since the latter film released first and was such a success. Looking into it, however, I found that the movies were actually shot at nearly the exact same time, and The Silence is adapted from a novel that came out in 2015, which is earlier than the original writers of A Quiet Place started work on their script (i.e. January, 2016, according to Wikipedia). Still, there are some striking similarities. (SPOILERS for both movies, of you haven't seen them.)
Both include a family with a mom, a dad, and two kids. (In The Silence, there is also a grandma who travels with them). In both movies the older kid is a girl who is deaf, and the younger kid is a boy. Both movies have a scene where a character screams in order to attract the creature(s), allowing their family to escape. As a further coincidence, The Silence stars Stanley Tucci as the father; Tucci is married to Felicity Blunt, the older sister of Emily Blunt, who co-starred in A Quiet Place with her husband John Krasinski, who also directed and co-wrote that film.
