Cheated by using video cameras to illegally steal signs in 2017, according to former Astros pitcher Mike Fiers. And this is hardly the first cheating allegation thrown Houston’s way in recent years.
Hmm...

I’m waiting for DC Fan to come up with a nickname for this that’s as clever and smooth as Shady Brady. Ginchy Hinchy doesn’t have the same ring to it.

I remember when I asked DC for his thoughts on Ryan Braun. His response: "I only follow the San Francisco Giants in baseball. Who's Ryan Braun?" I imagine the same would apply here.

Lucky for the rest of us that the Astrorisks didn’t beat the Giants.

I don't know. Sign stealing in any way, shape, or form is part of the game. The signs still have to be deciphered in real time. It's like putting personal info on the internet - it's going to get grabbed. Teams know they're doing it - the old "only if a runner is on second" disguise rule is out the window.

Ryan "Lyin" Braun and Tom Brady are both from California originally. There are no coincidences...

Stealing signs in baseball never seemed that big of a deal to me, as others said it’s part of the game. Using technology might be taking it too far though.

I'm pretty sure every single team does it. Stealing signs in baseball is probably as old as baseball itself. Its not a big deal.

And nothing will ever be done about that, especially coming from a league who let its players use steroid for a long time.

Is there an asterisk for the 1919 Cincinnati Reds?

They've been accused of cheating quite a bit the last couple years. It was either the Red Sox or the A's (maybe both) accusing them of recording/spying on their dugout.
If a former player of the team admits to something then there is a legit accusation and not just butt hurt opponents. Not sure what kind of penalty would come there way though. Probably just a fine.
Even more happy that the Nats won the WS.

Okay......🤔 Probably because Bonds and Shady Brady went to the same high school, which is known to bend the rules. Starters on the varsity football team don't have to attend classes.

Great read. Thank you for posting this. MLB definitely needs to look at how Spygate was handled and just not do that. Forgot about the Red Sox and the Apple watches. Must be in the Boston air or something. j/k
