This is apparently a full breakdown of everything that happened. I never noticed Rudolph kick the guy in the groin. Not saying he didn't do it, but I'd have to see it again. I wonder if anyone is show any highlights of it tomorrow.... He didn't. Watch the play. He never kicked him and if he did it was inadvertent.

Actually, it does look like Rudolph had his foot up in Garrett's crotch area. Crazy stuff.
I say Garrett gets at least 10 games, possibly a whole season. I don't think he gets a lifetime ban.
Pouncey should get a 8 game suspension, half a season. He kicked Garrett in the head, that's pretty awful too.
Rudolph should get some punishment for trying to rip Garrett's helmet off, as well as maybe a kick in the crotch. Probably 2 games.
The guy who leveled Rudolph without his helmet on should probably get 2 games as well.

Apparently the largest suspension handed out for a single incident like this was Albert Haynesworth stomping on a players head while helmetless. That was 5 games. I'd argue they're both pretty egregious and somewhat comparable. The Vontez Burfict one is because he's a repeat offender so that's why he's gotten the season long suspension so doesn't qualify. Myles has never been suspended so I'd expect a 5 game ban here as well.
Rudolph should get suspended 1 or 2 games. I'm assuming once people review tape like the all 22 or something it'll be more clear if Rudolph kicked him in the groin. If he did I think that combined with seemingly instigating the rest of it would warrant 2 games.
No idea on the other players.

But yeah, it's there.

This is nuts. My first glimpse of the brawl was the pig pile at the end, and I kind of laughed at how undisciplined both teams are to have gotten into that situation. Having seen the situation in its entirety, what the fuck. I'm not condoning kicking a guy in the head and I'm not saying I would do it, but once a guy starts swinging a helmet around like a club, all bets are off and it's going to become a street fight, almost no matter what. Frankly, if you're standing right next to your QB when that happens and you don't overreact, you're probably a bad teammate. Pouncey deserves whatever suspension he gets because you just can't have that in football, but at least he was reacting to his QB getting mugged. Again, not saying I'd react that way, but I understand to a degree. Garrett has to be gone for a long, long time. I mean what the hell.
I'm also disappointed with how the coaches handled it in the press. They didn't go after each other so that's refreshing, but this is a real character moment for your organization. Saying 'no comment' isn't enough from Tomlin. He doesn't want to get fined, and as a coach he doesn't want to call out other players, but you have to say something about how unacceptable that behavior is from both sides. Maybe he did, but in the snippet I saw he didn't. Kitchens is just an idiot so I don't expect much from him. But both of them missed an opportunity to apologize for the embarrassing display on the field, no matter the circumstances. One of my favorite press conference moments of all time was Marty Schottenheimer after the Chiefs had a meltdown and committed a million penalties to close out a blowout loss to the Broncos. To me, that's coaching. That's taking accountability even if it wasn't your fault. That's teaching your players how to be an adult after an out of control situation. It's unfortunate that neither coach could be bothered to admit their team got out of control and that's a reflection on them. Somebody needed to make the players understand that a bonehead decision by one of them reflects poorly on the entire organization.
The strangest part about this: The Browns had won the game, it was over. What the hell was Garrett so pissed about? It's just bizarre. It really shows how out of control that team is. Bonus points for Mason Rudolph who took a shot to the head and reacted by raising his hands and looking for a third party to intervene. How very European of him. (I kid, my European friends.) He's lucky (or maybe Garrett is lucky) he wasn't seriously injured.
What a mess, what a bad look for the league. I expect DC Fan to rant about this for the rest of his days. Oh, wait...

16 games - 8 this year, 8 next year. And you might have to suspend all of next year for an appeal to get it reduced to this.
Had Rudolph been injured, I'd add an assault charge.
I noticed all the Cleveland fans clapping when Garrett was walking out.
The worst crap happens when someone goes all out in the last minute of garbage time. There were 46 left in the Malice in the Palace game.

I was thinking about this too, law enforcement might have to get involved in this. Arrests could happen after something this bad happens.

Not saying that Rudolph deserved to get hit in the head with his own helmet as that obviously is the worst offense of the whole thing but it doesn't exactly sound like Rudolph was squeaky clean in the whole ordeal.
I have to disagree, this is 100% the fault of Garret. Once he had Mason down he didn't let up, he kept driving him into the ground. That eventually led to Mason getting angry and retaliating, which then led to a gang fight with only like what, 8 seconds left in the game? That is totally messed up.... which all of this most likely doesn't happen if Garret just simply gets off of Mason after he sacked him, which was actually a late hit on Mason anyways.
Seriously, the league needs to come down hard on Garret. Suspension for one or two games on Mason might be acceptable but I still pin this on Garret.

Did anyone else see the post game where they replayed the brawl.... But accidentally left in the"exciting" highlight music? That was pretty damn hilarious.

They'll probably give him 4 games next year.

Larry Ogunjobi is suspended for 1 game and Pouncey is benched for 3.

I’m glad Garrett is suspended for the rest of the season, it’s what he deserves. That was an absolutely vicious, inexcusable play, one of the most disgraceful things I’ve ever seen during a game. Very fortunate that Rudolph didn’t get severely hurt.

Very fortunate that Rudolph didn’t get severely hurt. I think he should be gone for good from NFL football. I really do. At the very least give him a very stern warning, "You ever do anything at all that even comes close to this, you won't even get a job as waterboy in Pop Warner football." The Clowns is the last team I would have expected to see this from.

Last nights debacle reminded me of the Jim McMahon incident way back in 86.
Fortunately, Garrett Wasn't able to get Rudolph up like that and slam him into glorified concrete!

So legions of angry fans have taken to Twitter to berate Garrett; problem being a lot of them spelled his name wrong and instead told a random sports reporter from Indiana called "Miles Garrett" that he should be jailed for life.
