Feige can talk bullshit all the day he wants. Logan and Deadpool are successfull because of the R-Rating, it's a simple fact.

No, they're successful because they were true to the characters and weren't ashamed of themselves. Merely having an R Rating wasn't the deciding factor. Heck, you can tell a Deadpool story that's PG as long as you have Deadpool realize he's trapped in a PG movie and play with that.

He is not blasting the XMen movies ( LOGAN and DEADPOOL in particular) -- he is actually expressing a nuanced appreciation of why those two films succeeded! Btw, Kevin Feige started working on superhero movies with "X:MEN". Yes, the very first XMen movie released in 2000! He was the assistant of producer Lauren Shuler Donner, who continues to produce some of the movies in the franchise. Kevin was given the rank of Associate producer ( he was Lauren's assistant in other previous movies). Re Lauren Shuler Donner -- her latest as producer was LOGAN! She also produced DEADPOOL. Interesting interview with XMen screenwriter David Hayter, including a photo of Kevin Feige with some of the XMen cast, creatives and producers. Please scroll down. www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/x-men-screenwriter-hugh-jackmans-wolverine-casting-drama-982045There is also an interesting not-too-known detail on why Hugh Jackman eventually replaced Dougray Scott as Wolverine, another initiative from Lauren Shuler Donner.
