I hope a team signs him, it isn’t right how he’s been blackballed. While he isn’t good enough to be a starter, he’s better than a lot of backups in the league right now.

They listed the teams that will be in attendance, one of them is the Patriots. I would love it if Belichick signs him. This would be the ultimate “I do things my way” middle finger to the rest of the league.

Those who are crying, "Keep politics out of football!" are hypocrites if they are fine with the military and the Natl anthem being part of football. I swear to God. Besides sporting events I honestly don't when else or for what other occasions our war song is played. It just seems really odd to me that this is somehow a tradition before sports games, including our local ametuer summer baseball team, that it should be a song reserved for ONLY political events that would be something that reflects American history. Like on Independence Day. That makes sense for the War Song. So go get 'em Cap! Show the haters that you still got it and can get back into the NFL!

I think all the NFL teams conspired to get together and just troll him.

He'll get to the stadium and it'll be filled with combat vets, cops and extreme right wingers. Then the stadium announcer will read off the names of every terrible third string QB in the league and just laugh.

Win/win.
If he succeeds, his team's fanbase will be all in. If he fails, he got his chance.
Unfortunately it might have to be a team with strong ownership ready to absorb the bullshit, like the Patriots or Packers or whatever... which are mostly places who wouldn't need his services.
Chicago should start him this week... how could anyone be worse than what they've got.

If the ownership of the Steelers is as progressive as they purport to be then they should sign him.

That's kind of what I thought when Belichick signed Tebow also. It doesn't always work.

I can't see anyone wanting the media circus that comes with Kap just for a back up. Question is does anyone want him as a starter? I'd say not likely. I think he deserves better, but his cause got hijacked by far right loonies and SJWs and the consquence is his career hss been sacrificed on the altar of the Culture Wars.

The guy is entitled to free speech but he wearing the pig cop socks crossed a line for me. By doing that he disrespected me, my brother, and my father. Believe me, if a white player wore socks with pickaninny faces on them they would be immediately thrown out of the league. Oh, and it wasn't his kneeling that has him out of the league. It's his girl calling NFL owners modern day slave holders that cost him a spot on an NFL roster.

Chicago should start him this week... how could anyone be worse than what they've got. The Packers have a very weak ownership base since they have fooled a number of fans into thinking they are "owners" when they paid for a worthless piece of paper that says they own "stock in the team" when all it really was just a way for them to raise money for stadium upgrades and improvements. If you are a fan of, say, the LA Rams get a piece of blank paper. Write or print on there, "This is stock in the LA Rams and this cannot be sold or traded for any amount." No different except you didn't pay hundreds of dollars for it. These bogus "owners" do not get a say and are not asked for any input in the important decisions for the team such as adding and dropping players. They get to attend a yearly meeting at Lambeau where they are given updates of some things about the team and maybe if they are lucky they may get to take a survey on what beer can be served there. That would be about it.

Part of me thinks he's bigger than the game now. I'd like to see him play, sure, but this feels a little too close to begging for a job. I don't know, maybe I'm way off base. But they've snubbed him this long and now they want him to sing and dance for an opportunity? Ehhh I don't like it. I'd feel a little better about it if teams we're calling him to come in and throw around. This feels secretive and weird.

I was going to post about this yesterday but then I thought hang on I don't know anything about American Football! But I don't know, it is interesting... So, my question is - Could this really be true? I've obviously read about his case and know that he hasn't played for nearly 3 years and is now 32! Could he really walk back into a team and be a better squad option than some guy who's be playing or a young draft dude waiting for his shot? Is the player pool that small? Like I said, don't really know much detail re American Football but, comparing with football, I really can't think it'd be possible a guy who hadn't played for 2/3 seasons and was 32 would have much chance of getting signed by anyone bar a hugely desperate lower league side, certainly not a top division outfit. Unless that was he'd been an absolutely incredible top drawer player. But then was that the case with Kaepernick? I mean there have been cases of top football players screwing up badly but there'd be no pact possible that could stop them getting signed by another club (without any time gap) - especially if the opportunity to get a world class player on the cheap was possible.

This would be the ultimate “I do things my way” middle finger to the rest of the league. It would prove that Brady and not him is solely responsible for the success of the Pats. I also hope Trump won't invite such a team to the White House in case of a Super Bowl win. Such a disrespectful player has no place there. Antonio Brown was justified for his class on the field, but Kaepernick is just garbage. A modern Herostratus who can only receive "fame" by being destructive. Just in case:

Until then, as you Trumphumpers and right wingers love to say, fuck your feelings.
