Once again a Spanish team obliterates a German one. Spanish team + the refs.

I am a big fan of CR7 the footballer but,... I must say his vanity is getting very embarrassing. Whenever he scores he immediately looks to the big screen and waves at himself

Postamble by Jacob Steinberg : "A hat-trick for Cristiano Ronaldo, six goals overall, relentless drama, at the end of which it’s Real Madrid who join Atletico in the last four. But the real story tonight is that Bayern Munich have been done over by some awful officiating by Viktor Kassai and co. They were well on top when Arturo Vidal was incorrectly sent off near the end of normal time. Vidal’s dismissal was compounded by Ronaldo scoring two offside goals in extra-time. These things even themselves out over the course of a season, though, so Bayern will just have to get on with it, says every pub bore you’ve ever met. The truth is that Bayern have been robbed after doing so well to get themselves back in the tie. But Madrid march on, edging closer to retaining the trophy despite their obvious flaws."

This is laughable. The defeat wasn't down to the officials. The pen Bayern were awarded in the first leg (which Vidal squandered), the pen they were awarded (or should I say gifted) in this game are just as important. Bayern lost this tie in Munich, when they just collapsed after the missed penalty and the red card.

It looks like referees forget how to do their job once they are in spain.

So Neuer broke his foot yesterday ahead of the 2-3 goal. Out for the rest of the season.

It looks like referees forget how to do their job once they are in spain. I didn't watch this game so I can't comment, but over the course of 2 legs you just know there is going to be a minimum of one critical howler from the ref, and not just that, but a howler that is hard to fathom how the ref came to such a decision, People say the refereeing is bad in England, but it is worse in the CL... by far (and WC and Euros). That's it for me now, I've had enough, I'm not watching any more CL games, I'm boycotting, I'm out, for me it is not a legitimate competition, there is no integrity left.
