Well the ones they show in the video, but it's probably generally true. I was in Japan in the 80s and they were always getting us to try stuff and laughing when we didn't like it. One day in the chow hall the US commander made us swap trays with our jap counterpart, the american food that grossed them out the most was salad with dressing, they hated it, especially the ranch. One night the japs got us drunk and started ordering raw pub food to see if we would throw up. Good folks though, we had a blast and so did they. People are mostly the same everywhere. |

One day while in Japan a bunch of us bought snacks from a store, none of the packaging was in English. I got fish flavor potato chips, my buddy got dehydrated squid heads. They were both so gross.

Funny they say it tastes medicinal, that's not what I would expect people to say when describing root beer. I'm not sure what brand their serving in this video, I assume it's A&W but some varieties of root beer can be bitter then moves into a sweet aftertaste. To some, that might taste medicinal but for the most part, it's a soda pop and tastes very similar to other drinks like Coke and Dr Pepper. The purest form of Root Beer is Virgil's Root Beer which is made with 100% natural ingredients. It's not what you would expect to find in a soft drink, here's the ingredients of Virgil's RB - anise, licorice, vanilla, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, wintergreen, cassia oil, pimento berry oil, and balsam oil. But surprisingly, it still tastes very much like other brands of root beer.  But my favorite is A&W RB. |
