What are you expectations?
I expect a pretty entertaining movie but nothing that will have me creaming my jeans. I was thinking earlier today The Mandalorian could take the wind out of its sails as it is forging a pretty decent path with only two episodes in. Also expecting the usual bitching that comes along with any new Star Wars movie.

A good, entertaining conclusion to this new trilogy that will take a few risks, but I think it will still play things safe and familiar to an extent.
In other words, it will be a combination of Force Awakens and Last Jedi.
I don't expect another Empire Strikes Back though.

Well the Disney "STAR WARS" Haters definitely want to see "THE RISE OF SKYWALKER" fail and I do now have to concede that I think that that may actually happen (especially with all of the stories and rumors coming out about the movie).
However, If " THE MANDALORIAN" ends up being a successful show then that is still definitely going to be a MAJOR Blow to what the Haters want (which is for DISNEY to no longer run " STAR WARS") and there is Absolutely Nothing that the Haters will be able to do about it except whine and complain. 
Having said that, I myself agree with you "Popeye" when it comes to "THE RISE OF SKYWALKER".
I too am expecting an Entertaining, Fun, and Action Packed "STAR WARS" Movie.

And he practically is gone completely. We tried to save those 2 movies just like we're trying to save these new ones.

You are right, at least in my case. I want it to fail because I am sick of this cast and this storyline. I want a Star Wars with better actors and writers.
This current cast sucks. The only redeeming quality is the actress who plays the female Luke Skywalker is attractive.
That is it.
Sure, the effects will be the best money can buy because that's what most want to see.
I want to see stories and characters I can care about on some level.
The original cast achieved that. The prequels? Not really. Again, Portman was nice to look at but not good at all in the role.
Ewan McGregor was the sole bright spot there.

Star Wars lost all its magic.
Star Trek was in a better position since it was always a serial and the fans didn't care as much about the spfx side of things. For Star Wars, the spfx is a huge part of its success and it just doesn't have the same whizbang power.
Star Wars is like a magician who shows all his best acts and then expects people to be impressed if he pulls a rabbit out of a hat that is a shade of beige instead of white.

They SHOULD NOT have killed off Luke.
At least not in the second one and in that way which was super fucking lame.
I wanna see how they handle Leia since Carrie Fisher is dead.
Fuck all these stupid fucking spin offs. They ARE NOT canon no matter what anyone says.
Just how in the fuckity fuck of all fucks can Vader move around like that when he did not move around like that later on in SW?
Those spin off retarded movies are made for retards and DO NOT FUCKING MATTER AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!
So yeah, I'll check this one out for a sense of duty of completeness.

I imagine it won't happen, but it would be kind of hilarious if Kylo Ren becomes the good guy and strikes down the evil Rey.
After TLJ I'm just ready for this lackluster series to be over with, although I have to admit I will go see it theatrically. I've seen all the others outside of IV (i was only a year old) at the theater and Solo during the original releases.

I have no expectations, I just hope the film doesn't completely fall on its face though I've been hearing its been having tons of reshoots and multiple endings so who knows really...
TLJ wasn't the abomination many claim it to be but it was hardly good either, I don't know if this final film can salvage anything but if it doesn't succeed for me I doubt I will bother seeing whatever Disney decides to do with the property in the future. Unless they want to make a Thrawn movie... but then again the EU is dead to them so pfft.
