This committee complied list cosists of between 70 and 75 films ranked by worstness. The link below provides all the titles. It is a countdown ranking. The good news is: I have only seen three of them. Tolkien - bland movie so full of bio-pic tropes that Tolkien's life doesn't seem all that unique. Domino - slack spy thriller. Your pulse will not pound a single time King Of Thieves - I liked it. The bad news is: I have Red Joan and Rambo on my Netflix queue. Here are the final 20: The Golden Glass Murder Mystery Serenity The Professor Poms Lucy In The Sky The Hustle The Kitchen Euphoria Mary Corporate Animals Hellboy Night Hunter Zeroville The Aspern Papers Rambo: Last Blood Replicas Polar The Fantastic AND The Worst Movie Of The Year The Haunting Of Sharon Tate
"Younger" actress Hilary Duff, who fans also know from her days as Disney's Lizzie McGuire, embodies Sharon Tate in the worst film of the year so far.
Pregnant with Roman Polanski's child, Tate is plagued by visions in this horror flop. The Wrap's William Bibbiani labels it an "astoundingly tasteless motion picture, perfunctorily produced and insensitively conceived." The Whole Damn Thing

That's too bad about The Kitchen. That looked like it had potential. The trailer showed too much of Elizabeth Moss firing a gun. One or neither would be fine, but both likely gave away key moments that would have been good in a theater. She's a strong actress. She's been doing very well the past few years in The Handmaid's Tale, which is not for the weak at heart. Between her, the premise and the also talented Melissa McCarthy, it's disappointing to hear.
Too bad about The Hustle too. I'd no interest in seeing it, but it generated some good buzz around TIFF.
Anyone could see Serenity coming. I didn't think it was terrible, but I thought it was offensively down the middle considering the caliber of Oscar winning heavy lifters in the cast. It ain't their fault. I blame the script for being precision level passable and not an ounce of effort more.
I'd still be curious to see Lucy in the Sky. And Tolkien, though I forgot about the latter.

Isn't it interesting all the movies listed-except for Hellboy and Rambo, are non franchise/corporate brand name ones? None of them appear to be Universal or Paramount or Warner Bros or Disney films (one is a FOX). So I guess the critics are saying the best films made are brand names and franchises films?

Check out the actual link. The list is based on Metacritic scores and there are a lot of ties. The Top 20 is actually made up of around 60- films, and in there are some big studio and/or franchise films - Angel Has Fallen, Me In Black International, Dark Phoenix,Gemini Man

I haven't seen it yet, but I hear very aggressively divided opinions about the new Godzilla movie. The most recent one was okay. The final fight was awesome, but Aaron Taylor Johnson and Elzabeth Olsen didn't have any chemistry, Bryan Cranston vanished without a trace (or at least died without me noticing) and the one Japanese dude...really should have gotten more time. The best part of the film was Godzilla's fight with the two monsters.
It sounded from the reviews like the new Godzilla was the best part of the first one stretched into an entire movie. I've heard it sucks, it's one of the worst all year, and just devastatingly bad. I've also heard the monsters are the character characters, and they all employ subtle gestures and expressions many audiences missed.
Too bad about Stuber. I thought it might be good for a laugh. I like Batista.

Okay so, Tolkien, The Aftermath, and The Upside weren't that bad. In fact I'd consider them just fine 3-star movies.
