That is Interesting News!
I am a BIG Fan of "STAR TREK" but I have not actually seen any of Noah Hawley's work.
Having said that, I do hope that he will deliver to "STAR TREK" Fans a Good and Fun Movie.

Looking at his resume it's pure shit so he's likely been hired to put the last nail in the coffin of the dying franchise.

He did Legion for FX. Apparently that's a make-it-or-break-it.

As long as a clueless, childish moron like you hates something, I can be happy that it will almost certainly be good. Your utter stupidity has been a great predictor on this metric!

I think in the end we'll at least get one more Trek film with the Chris Pine cast, but they may want to consider wrapping things up with them for the next film. I know eventually the cast wants to do other things and not make 6-7 films like the original crew.

Wow, I'm having trouble with all these "Rumors"...
Yes, I know QT was working on a Trek script, and that the last I heard, it was supposed to STILL be in the works, and was getting near production... However, I was never sure what timeline/cast was supposed to be in it...
But, I don't think it was supposed to be connected with the last few movies...
And as for the last few movies, there was already a Star Trek 4/14 in the works, but they could not reach a deal with Chris Pine to play Kirk again, and so that part of the franchise was shelved, because...
NO KIRK NO MOVIE!
So unless, something has changed with Chris Pine, I don't see how anything can ever come from this "news"...
Perhaps there is something entirely new in the works then?
A new movie with a new cast and new ship & crew? That would be a first.
I think we all need a lot MORE information about this project before any of us should get our hopes up.

That is actually Not True.
It did already happen before.
After The Cast from "THE ORIGINAL SERIES" was Finished with their 6 Movies, The Movies then went to a New Cast, Crew, and Ship (from "STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION").

That is also Not True.
Kirk wasn't in "STAR TREK: FIRST CONTACT" (That was a "TNG" Movie) and that is considered to be 1 of the Top 5 Best "STAR TREK" Movies out of All 13 of them so far.
It is possible to deliver a Great "STAR TREK" Movie without Kirk in it but it is also just very very hard to do.

Get rid Kirk and toxic masculinity and give us the all female Trek movie that we deserve

Yes, it is true, because you misunderstood me... The TOS Series, then became movies... The TNG Series, then became movies... When I say NEW, I mean NEW... Something we have NEVER seen before, in anyway... Being introduced to fans, first, in a Movie. As a Shitty Example: "Star Trek: Garbage Scow" - The crew of a garbage scow, gets caught up in an adventure with mysterious aliens from the Pegasus Galaxy...

As I said, these movies have been shelved... until now. OK then, anthonyrocks , what movie are they working on without KIRK? I see nothing about this movie, involving KIRK... Since it seems unlikely, that there would be two movies being planned at the same time that would both involve KIRK... It would be safe to conclude, that QTs film is something else, and my "NO KIRK NO MOVIE" statement is a reasonable one to explain why Star Trek 4/14 was shelved, and why it wasn't simply rewritten to be a story without him! BREAKING: Here what wikipedia is now saying, and what we are discussing in this thread: So... It seems that Chris Pine has agreed to play Kirk again... (THUS A NEW FILM...) The question is, is this an entirely new script? or has there been some kind of compromise to revive the original script?
