I mean, you have two human characters with no superpowers constantly putting their lives on the line against aliens, robots and superpowered beings. So in the interest of being as efficient as they can be and trying to keep themselves as safe as possible despite overwhelming odds, should they be allowed (even encouraged) to use as much steroids as they healthily can?

What makes you think they don`t use it already? I didn't want to be presumptuous. ;p

You need a more human side to the as a reminder of just how strong the heavy hitters truly are. Steroids would make them a lot less special. All of Nat's best moments come from her lack of physical power in my opinion.

Throw in some HGH too. We know through Barry Bonds and the rest it shows a marked improvement in hand eye coordination. Also helps to extend performance in later years. Jeremy Renner is pushing 50 so he needs the extension like Roger Clemmons, Mark McGuire etc.

No. In Disneyworld, they are just doing fine without steroids. They are NORMAL humans mysteriously displaying superhuman strength, superhuman agility and superhuman stamina thoughout all 4 Avengers movies. I mean, they killed many Chitauri!
