Probably depends on how one looks at it... from a more worldly perspective it will be like you never existed after enough time passes for most people (because most people ain't famous enough in a certain field to grab any real lasting power as the centuries pass). because I figure say Person A for example, they live their life, maybe have a few kids or something, and eventually Person A gets old and dies and is still remembered for a while due to their kids and possibly grand kids but much beyond that they are largely, if not entirely forgotten. so basically Person A might be remembered up to around great grandparent level or so but much beyond that they will be largely forgotten since everyone they knew in person will likely be dead.
but looking at things from from a Christianity perspective... it's obvious it won't be like we never existed since we always will exist since we are eternal beings as even though our bodies die, our soul/consciousness lives on in Heaven, assuming one makes it there. but even if someone ended up in hell, they will still exist, but just in a state of extreme misery.

DON'T forget that YOUR body will one day be returned to YOU (a RESURRECTED and GLORIFIED body) IF you make it to Heaven. OR a RESURRECTED body that's CORRUPT from UNREPENTANT MORTAL SIN/S if you go to Hell.

Given that time goes on and on and your existence is temporary, eventually it will be as if you had never even existed at all. I voted "Agreed" EVEN though I believe in ETERNAL LIFE in either Heaven (straight to OR first in Purgatory for a time being) OR in Hell. In THIS world (YOUR Earthly existence) YOU will EVENTUALLY be FORGOTTEN since as YOU said (typed, actually) YOUR existence here is ONLY temporary. In the next it's ETERNAL (FOREVER and EVER). AMEN!

For the vast majority of people, it's that way already.

There are over 7 billion people in this world. Believe me, not everyone is special no matter what your mama tells you. That said, thanks to technology there will always be a record of you somewhere.

Nearly everyone leaves a legacy of some kind either through DNA, memories, or the influence one has had on others.
Shakespeare no longer exists as a person, but he existed. His work will keep him "alive" in our minds so long as his work survives and people read him.

Unless we colonize space that statement will be true for everyone after our Sun expands into a red giant.

... even if someone ended up in hell, they will still exist, but just in a state of extreme misery. No. The lake of fire extinguishes souls. They're not eternal.

Do the billions who've existed in all the millenia before 'now' exist for you at all? If no--and like it or not, that is the honest response--then the answer is clearly that you, as they, will eventually come to a state not much different from having never existed at all.

I can think of two ways to look at it. Will your actions affect the shape of those to come and whether there will be those who remember you. The biggest way to make your mark I can think of is to change the development of a star from a nebula. However, there may be a way to broadcast a signal that's hard to ignore and start a tradition of signaling that lasts until the last life or forever should there be a way to change the fate of the universe or go to another universe.

Yet I am, & will have, existed... therefore it's false.
The quote would be better suited for fame... I've read several historic figures speak to that, how in 150yrs from whenever, no one will really care how much money you had or how many ppl knew who you were. Ppl who literally spend their lives trying to impress are destined for the dust books, just like everyone else.

Agree. Eventually, there'll be nobody left who remembers me. Unless I end up really famous perhaps. Even then, even characters like Napoleon and Hitler may well end up being forgotten in the far future, so what chances of being remembered do the rest of us have?

I don’t really know what it means. If it means eventually nobody will remember you, then that is true for most people I suppose, unless you have done something that achieves lasting fame. But people can have an influence on the world they live in without being famous. Something you do has probably influenced something, even if it’s only having some children. That you are not remembered is irrelevant to whether something you have done has had an impact in some way. Even just giving a modest amount of money to charity for instance has helped someone’s life to be less vile. Feed the ducks on the river and help them to survive. Put out food for the birds and the hedgehogs. It’s made a difference even if only a small one. Some future birds and hedgehogs will be alive in the world because you put out food for their ancestors. Some people in Africa will have clean drinking water because you contributed to building them a well. You don’t have to be remembered to have done some good in the world.

People will remember us after we die, but then they, too, eventually, will die themselves, and you’ll never be thought of again.
Lulz! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
