I was in a high-rise hotel in downtown Mexico City during a minor earthquake a few years ago. Everybody had to leave the building and wait outside. Other than that, there have been a couple of false fire alarms in my building over the years requiring everyone to leave their apartments and go down to the street while waiting for the all-clear from the fire department.

Had to during the East Coast earthquake of a few years back. We were at work, and felt the building actually sway a bit--at first nobody knew what happened. We all sort of looked at each other with a "do you think it might be a good idea to get out of here" expression, and were headed for the fire stairs when the announcement came to clear the area.

Once - back in grade 12.
A locker was on fire, so it set the alarms off. It was right at the end of the day, so we were told to go home. We all couldn't go back in the school to get our books in the classroom - nor to our lockers to get our coats. Of course, it was raining that day. But, that didn't matter....
No homework that night!

Ten years ago, during some particularly bad flooding, my family and I were given the option of evacuation. As there was no immediate threat to us, we said no.

Not forced by authorities, but my family evacuated to a shelter during a hurricane strike once. Good thing, because a big chunk of our roof blew off.

When I was in elementary school (many decades ago), we had a 5.7 quake that lasted about 45 seconds. The school district ordered all schools be evacuated, pending inspection ... also,in fear of aftershocks. That was on a Friday, and crews inspected the buildings over the weekend, and we were allowed back on Monday. I don't know if any schools were "red tagged."
But, a few weeks ago I was on stand-by to be an evacuation center for my brother, whose neighborhood was ordered to evacuate because of the huge "Kincade" fire, in the Wine Country. The fire was quite a distance from them, but authorities acted in an abundance of caution, and ordered everyone all the way back to the coast to get out. A great many residents decided it was too early, and decided to stay. Police told them that, if the fire jumped the freeway, and they had to come through with sirens and bullhorns, that they had no choice but to GO! Fortunately, that never happened.

Oh yeah. A bomb threat here and a bomb threat there. No bombs found, only prank callers.

In fifth grade at my elementary school, a women's clinic inside an office building got a bomb threat. The office building being in the same block as the school building, the entire school got an unexpected recess as we were evacuated. Went nothing was found inside the clinic, everything went back to normal as we returned to our classrooms.
Based on protesters who were on the sidewalk either before or after the bomb scare, the women's clinic was probably an abortion provider.

Has anyone else here been invacuated? That’s the procedure which occurs if there is a presumed or real threat outside the building and people are directed to safe areas (usually below ground).

Yes. There was an anthrax scare at my school years ago. The whole student body and staff were temporarily quarantined. The army came and stood guard outside all the entrances and the Principal and some staff members were stripped and hosed down apparently. Then we were evacuated.
