I only saw Thunderball for the first time(I remember) this year. I rank it near the top (it's hard for me to make such lists--I am so-so about James Bond films in general)

I like 5 out of 7.

1. Thunderball 9/10-Awesome in the iconic way. The very two most theatrical and iconic "henchmen" slayings (Quist and the boardroom assassination), and what is still unmatched as the most action packed underwater battle scene in film History. In fact, excellent camera work and directing on all the underwater scenes make this the best depiction ever on underwater scenes in film, at least as far as entertainment, excitement, and theatrics are concerned.

2. Goldfinger 9/10-Living in Louisville at the time it was made, recognizing a few scenes that now don't exist, I'm a bit biased towards it, but it's a top film.


3. You Only Live Twice 8/10-All the 007 necessities that are sorely missing in recent Bond movies-majestic scenery, exciting action scenes, wit, theatrics, irony, hot babes, everything.


4. Dr. No 7/10 Bond movies still getting ready to mature. Lots to like. The best scenes are when Bond infiltrates the enemy HQ.


5. Diamonds Are Forever 5/10. The comic henchmen are the best thing about this movie. Some good scenes, good action, and some that are still corny today. The gangsters are totally "dated".


6. From Russia With Love 4/10-Pretty dull, a bit watchable.


7. Never Say Never Again 1/10-This is how "not to make a movie".
