One of the local hospital chains in my area called Penn Medicine started running an ad where it’s one of those slow motion montages of sick kids and attractive caring doctors, all the while the Metallica song “Nothing Else Matters” is playing.
A) I never thought I’d see the day where a hospital uses a Metallica song, and Metallica allows one of their songs to be used, in one of their promotions.
B) I think “Creeping Death” would have been a better choice.
C) What’s next, the Red Cross using Slayer’s “Raining Blood”?

Maybe they'll do another one with an old guy getting zapped by a defibrillator as 'Ride The Lightning' plays in the background.

Can I add every pandemic-era commercial to this list? Commercials reminding us how many businesses have closed; car commercials whose message is, "We know everything is closed so there's nowhere to go, and you probably lost your job...but what better time could there be to buy a new car?"; those Dominos commercials telling us how hot their ovens are and that nobody touches your pizza until it gets to your house. Is that a policy worth advertising? Were you previously in the habit of undercooking food and having everyone at the store rub their fingers through it on the way out?
Commercial thanking 'essential employees' (which is as vague a term as you're going to find) simply for going to work every day? Medical professionals absolutely, but let's not treat every Dunkin Donuts manager as a combat veteran now, ok? If anything, those of us who kept going into the office (or whatever your work setting may be) should've been thanking the people out of work for sacrificing for the greater good, even if they didn't have a choice.
Luckily some of these commercials have disappeared as the Summer has people hoping for a brighter future, but these commercial aggravated me for months, and the Dominos shit still does. The masked driver gets out of the car and literally breaks into a sprint with your pizza. Calm down, I'm still going to be here in 30 seconds. Don't hurt yourself on my property. I haven't ordered a Dominos pizza in probably 20 years, do they really run from their car to your door for the sake of promptness or is the driver just scared shitless they're going to get Covid?

This Facebook 'Meta' commercial with the Rousseau painting is one of the most annoying and painfully obnoxious things I've ever had to deal with. That awful song, and those insufferable douche bag kids' faces unbearably bobbing in extreme closeups... I just wanna kick each of them right in the fucking teeth.
And that's without mentioning how incredibly stupid the thing it's advertising is.

Thankfully it's almost the end of these ads: SIGN UP FOR NEW MEDICARE SUPPLEMENTAL INSURANCE because open enrollment is almost finished.
Need a poll as to whose ad is more obnoxious ... Jimmy Walker or Joe Naemeth ! They both make Shatner seem refreshing and polished.

Local ads which feature the proprietors ... who just so happen to look like their second jobs are working as henchmen for Bond villains.

BUT a local water treatment dealer had his kids in his ads decades ago and now he is no-where to be seen but the grown up kids and grandkids are still there ... some of the ads are quite good and some are gosh awful with the kids obviously hating that they are there.
