if they win out? as they will get the spot of the loser of the lsu & uga game... If Georgia beats LSU in a close game, then Georgia and LSU might both get in and Utah might be out. But if LSU beats Georgia, then the 4th spot would be between Utah and the winner of Baylor vs Oklahoma.

I'm sure the networks would rather have Oklahoma than Utah. If LSU beats Georgia soundly and Baylor beats Oklahoma, then I think Utah gets in.
One day they'll realize it should be eight teams. Hell, the FCS playoffs have 24 teams in the bracket.

if they win out? as they will get the spot of the loser of the lsu & uga game... Unless they get crushed, both LSU and Ohio State are in. Losing to the #4 team in the poll or a near top #10 will not knock either out. Clemson, on the other hand, are out if they don't beat Virginia. next weekend could be jut for seeding, or two teams could be in and Clemson and Georgia could be out.

See.....when you're not obsessing on Tom Brady, you can make sense once in awhile. You should keep that up.

You think they'll beat Oregon? I'm not so sure. If so, it should happen. But I think they'd chose another one loss team.

Hell, the FCS playoffs have 24 teams in the bracket. Not Baylor? Both would have one loss and a conference championship. Utah lost to USC and will have beaten two teams ranked at game time, #17 Arizona State and Oregon in the title game. Baylor has one loss and a conference title. Only one win against a ranked opponent, Oklahoma in the Big XII Championship game. I guess it would be up to the win this weekend. Balor whipps the Sooners (they did berfore but couldn't finish) while Utah squeaks out a 10-7 win over Oregon.

Having the Dallas television market might be worth it for them. I just believe that when the differences between teams is close, television executives start whispering in ears of committee members. Utah probably doesn't win too many of those tiebreakers with tv executives.

The whole "playoff" system is a farce.
